What's in the Warp?

Lin En opened his eyes and felt as though he were drifting through space. This space was simply multicolored—and flowing.

It was painfully dazzling, horribly polluted with light. The colors blended together into something too polluted to name.

There was no up or down, no far or near.

With no point of reference, he floated in this colorful halo like a small stone tossed into the sea.

Lin En blinked.

A line of small green text appeared on the faceplate display before him: External environment: vacuum. Power Armor life support system activated. Remaining oxygen: 98%.

Oh, right. He was still wearing Power Armor. That was good news.

It was fortunate that they were all wearing Power Armor, too. Power Armor could provide breathable air in a vacuum.

Earlier, the Assault Scorpion Bishop had self-destructed, creating a small Warp Storm.

The Warp Storm had rushed toward him.

The Third Company Captain had grabbed his arm.

Then the Warp Storm had transformed into a spatial rift. A flash of light later, he had arrived here.

The result was obvious. This had to be the Warp.

The Warp did not exactly follow the laws of physics. Before entering, the Third Company Captain had been gripping him tightly, but after they entered, their Power Armor had still separated.

Fortunately, they had only been separated by a short distance. They were still roughly in the same place, and he could see the Third Company Captain thrashing a little ways ahead of him, swimming toward him.

Lin En paddled through the Warp and found it rather fun.

He was not particularly afraid. He could more or less be considered a Warp special operative now, and besides, he had brought the Third Company Captain as muscle.

Unfortunately, he had only unlocked two Trait slots.
