"His combat power was only [12]?" Green was a little disappointed. For a hero and a tribe's shaman, the fellow who had fired his mouth off three times was far too weak. Still, Green had not subdued the Kobold Shaman with high hopes for his strength. He mainly wanted information about the Mist World: how the surrounding forces were distributed, and whether any especially dangerous beings lurked nearby. The shaman's three skills, on the other hand, were a pleasant surprise. [Kobold Command] and [Fearless War Horn] were both rare group-enhancement spells. [Fearless War Horn] in particular would be invaluable in battles between armies. That spell alone made the shaman worth investing resources in.
Green was in a good mood, and the Kobold Shaman naturally looked much more agreeable to him. "Get up. Come back with me first, then tell me everything you know about the surrounding area."
Green was slightly surprised. He looked at the Kobold Shaman again, unsure what he was up to.
After undergoing [Undead Corruption], the Kobold Shaman had become one of Green's Undead. The Graveyard had certified him, so there was no question of his loyalty.
If Green wanted, he could even enter the shaman's soul directly and examine his memories and thoughts. But Green had no desire to do that. Every intrusion into another person's soul polluted his own, because memories read from that soul inevitably clung to it. Such impurities were difficult to remove. If too many accumulated and crossed a certain threshold, they could even affect his temperament and sense of self. Unless it was necessary, Green tried to avoid entering other people's souls.
Green had not known much about this before. He had learned these forbidden facts only recently from Cristiano's books.
When the Kobold Shaman made his strange request, Green could
