Yet no matter what he did, he could not hear the Prayer Echoes. At last, he gave up in frustration. He took a deep breath and consoled himself. It's fine. Even if I can't claim the faith the God of Nature left behind, I've gained more than enough this time. Divinity, a Divine Core, and Divine Power Crystals—each one is a treasure countless Calamity Rank Transcendents dream of possessing. And there's this Spatial World, split from the Nature God's Divine Kingdom. It has Devoured Faerun City from the real world, completing its foundations. As long as I become a Demigod one day, it will become my Divine Kingdom, giving me power to rival a True God while I'm still a Demigod.

Sonic kept trying to reassure himself, unaware that someone else was troubled by the very Prayer Echoes he longed to hear.

Green's trouble came from those inescapable Prayer Echoes. Countless faint murmurs gathered into a sound like tens of thousands of flies buzzing around his ears. Worse, they appeared whenever he practiced his Meditation Method, seriously hampering his progress.
