At that moment, both Green and Xihanu Lawrence were baffled.

Green had no idea why this Legendary powerhouse had come looking for him. If he hadn't had the Death Angel as his trump card, he would almost certainly have died this time.

Xihanu Lawrence was just as confused. His original plan had been to draw Cyrabelle's attention, then have Sisonawa, the White Dragon, launch a surprise attack from the Golden Nightmare at the critical moment. They would catch Cyrabelle between them and, ideally, kill her on the spot. Failing that, they would gravely wound her and drive the Lorenzo Kingdom's strongest fighter out of this Void World.

After all, no one could travel between the Main World and a Void World whenever they pleased. The Space-Time Gate could only be opened at specific times.

If Cyrabelle used Spirit World Traversal to escape this Void World, she would not be able to return the same way. The world barrier surrounding it allowed passage out, but not in. To come back, she would have to use the Space-Time Gate.

The Rune People and the Rebels could exploit that window to seize the Space-Time Gate in a lightning strike, cutting off the Lorenzo Kingdom's connection to this Void World.

But events had outpaced the plan. As soon as Xihanu Lawrence heard that Cyrabelle had appeared at the Second Forward Camp, he had mobilized his army and headed there. From what he knew of her, she would certainly stand and fight rather than retreat to the heavily defended Headquarters. This was the perfect chance to defeat her.
