Before Cyrabelle had left for the Red Fortress, Green had volunteered to go with her, but she had refused. Stinnard needed someone as strong as Green to hold the city. With Cyrabelle gone, Stinnard would surely have fallen without him. The Kingdom Army at the Red Fortress would have been cut off, with no way even to retreat to the Main World.
But now that Green knew of Cyrabelle's grand plan, he could no longer sit still.
Green had expected a large-scale siege at the Red Fortress, but he had thought it would end with twenty or thirty thousand casualties at most.
Whether in the Kingdom Army or the Revolutionary Army, even Cyrabelle's elite Royal Guard would collapse once casualties exceeded fifteen percent. Ordinary troops could not withstand even ten percent. So despite the three hundred thousand soldiers massed near the Red Fortress, Green had expected fewer than ten thousand deaths, excluding the wounded.
He had not imagined that Cyrabelle, furious after being pushed too far, would bring in vast quantities of Enchanted Explosives from the Main World and blow both the Red Fortress and the attacking Revolutionary Army sky-high.
That meant not ten thousand souls, but well over a hundred thousand, along with a vast amount of death psychic energy the graveyard could absorb. A prize that large was enough to tempt Green.
Green stared into the dark night for several minutes before suddenly saying, "Watch Stinnard for me. I want to head south. What do you say?"
Suzune was taken aback. She had not expected Green to ask her to guard the Royal Capital. If she harbored other intentions and secretly contacted the Rebels, he could not possibly be unaware of the consequences.
"Uh..." Suzune blinked at him without answering.
Green waited, then turned from the distant view
