After hearing Louis out, Green looked at the head of the Bonaparte family in surprise. He had not expected him to have such a clear-eyed, levelheaded view of power.

"What? You don't believe me?" Louis raised an eyebrow and asked, chin lifted, when he saw Green's expression.

"No. I'm just surprised you and your family see the throne that way," Green said. "That actually gives us more room to cooperate. We can provide a way out for you. All you have to do is share your intelligence with us."

Louis's eyes lit up. He had already brought considerable wealth out of Stinnard. His only concern now was that he had no way to return to the Main World.

The Holy Crusaders controlled the Space-Time Gate beneath the Royal Palace in Stinnard, and he could not call on the Rune Federation's Void Airships. The Bonaparte family had escaped Stinnard with a vast fortune and twenty thousand Revolutionary Army soldiers, but had no way to bring any of it back to the Main World.

Now Green had come to him on Cyrabelle's behalf, offering exactly what Louis Bonaparte wanted.

After a moment's thought, Louis nodded. "All right. I'll share the intelligence I have, and you'll provide us a route back to the Main World. That's fair."

"Then here's to a fruitful partnership, Your Majesty!" Green held out his hand, and Louis shook it...

Ten minutes later, Green used the Spatial Anchor on Cyrabelle and Spirit World Traversal to return to her Headquarters in the Northern Province.

"You're back. How did it go?" Cyrabelle asked as soon as Green appeared. She had placed great hopes on this meeting.

Green nodded. "Very smoothly. I've reached an agreement with His Majesty Louis."

"I knew it!" Cyrabelle looked as though she had expected nothing less. "Hmph.
