But when the poisoned blade was less than half a foot from his throat, she stopped dead. Her face darkened as she turned to look behind him.
A Black-Robed Mage stood there. A Floating Cannon hovered beside him, its muzzle glowing with magic as it aimed at her head.
At the same time, terrifying Legendary Rank psychic power bore down on her like a mountain. Her legs trembled, and she could not move. Hicaros was an elite agent of the Divine Eagle Empire's Intelligence Department, but her own strength still had its limits.
