"My dog really is well-behaved," Green said evenly, scratching the back of Erha's neck.

A hint of helpless resentment flashed through Erha's eyes. He looked like a long-suffering bride as he whimpered twice.

Since falling into Green's hands, he had fought back and tried to assert his rights as a dog, only to be ruthlessly crushed by his brutal new master. Life had seemed bleak ever since. The savage beatings had taught him one thing: if he refused to submit, he really would die.

And ever since his new master had fed him those strange bones, he hadn't wanted to eat anything else...

"Did you come here to try your luck finding that thing too?" The rough-looking man sat down, took the cumbersome greatsword off his back, and laid it across his lap. He stretched as though making idle conversation.

"More or less. Isn't that why everyone comes here?" Green replied casually, though he had no idea what "that thing" was.

When Grand Duke Mora had given him this body, its original owner had been dead for some time, and his soul had already been extracted.

Green therefore had none of the body's firsthand memories, only some related information from Grand Duke Mora.

That was also why Green was certain Takrama, the Demon Warlock, was no ordinary man. Grand Duke Mora's insistence that he enter Number One Void World under this identity clearly served some purpose.

Grand Duke Mora hadn't said what that purpose was, and Green hadn't asked. He was here to take things one day at a time. As long as he earned the alchemy materials on the "Vera System," that was enough. Expecting him to risk his life fighting the Holy Light Church... well, he could do it, but it would cost extra!

The rough-looking man chuckled.
