The man who emerged from the kitchen had a sharp gaze. He swept it over the customers one by one, then walked up to Modi, who had just entered, and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Modi?"

Modi wore a warm, easy smile. He had a certain charisma that made even strangers want to get closer to him. After all he had been through, he had gradually developed some of the qualities of a revolutionary.

The two exchanged a few quiet words, and then the man led Modi into the kitchen.

Throughout their exchange, Green kept looking out the window without turning toward them. Their reflections in the glass, however, showed him everything that happened.

Once Modi entered the kitchen, Green frowned slightly. Why had Modi come here? Would he be an enemy this time, or an ally?

Either way, Green had no desire to deal with someone like him. Faith and ideals weighed too heavily on such people. They would sacrifice even their own lives for them, and anyone who got involved with them had to be ready to be dragged into the whirlpool at any moment.

More than ten minutes passed.

Green did not see Modi come back out. He assumed Modi must have left through the back door.

Green had nearly finished his coffee and was about to leave when someone else came out of the kitchen and headed straight for him.

It was the same man who had summoned Modi. As he approached Green, disgust flashed in his eyes. He knew Green was a Demon Warlock. "Come with me," he said coldly. Without waiting for an answer, he turned and walked back, plainly indifferent to whether Green followed. It was nothing like the courtesy he had shown Modi.
