Early that morning, at an abandoned horse farm on the outskirts of Landon City, three squads of fully armed Skeleton Soldiers stood in neat formations on a broad, weed-choked riding ground. Each formation had three rows of eight, twenty-four Skeleton Soldiers in all. Behind the Gun Skeleton Soldier formations stood a squad of six Skeleton Soldiers surrounding a black cannon gleaming with oil: Green's newly assembled Undead Cannon squad.

Above the Skeleton Soldiers hovered a half-invisible squad of twelve ghosts led by Maxim, serving as a makeshift air force. Mixed squads of Iron-Skinned Zombies and Hard-Skin Ghouls guarded the flanks, ready to change formation at any moment. The nimble Ghouls could surge forward and encircle an enemy, while the sturdy Iron-Skinned Zombies could serve as shields against a charge.

This was nearly all the strength Green commanded at present. He had forged it into a mixed force capable of both attack and defense. An undead force of this size was roughly equivalent to a quarter of Landon City's garrison, but stronger and more mobile. Green was confident that, in a head-on clash, his undead could defeat a Kingdom Knights Order force twice their size.

And Green still had the Six-Headed Snake Woman as his trump card. Even against a Formal Rank transcendent, he would not be without a fighting chance.

Green had not found this secluded place and summoned every undead under his command merely to show off. He wanted to drill them in different tactics and formations.
