Green looked at the utterly baffled Shadow Red Dragon Alshfaro and the overjoyed young female dragon Aidya, equally surprised.
He had never expected this "cleanup operation" to turn up a sister for Alshfaro.
"Aidya, what are you doing here? Is Uncle Smedley well?" Alshfaro asked, flapping his wings.
"Hmph! He's doing just fine. Mom says that hussy Alexia lured him away. Apparently he joined something called the Northern Allied Forces. Mom got angry and went back to her family, so I was finally able to come out." Aidya spoke as though she were an old hand, but from her expression, she did not seem to fully understand what she was saying. By Great Dragon standards, she was still a child.
Green paused and looked at Alshfaro. "Your uncle is the Flame of Destruction, Smedley Tawa?"
Alshfaro blinked and nodded. "Yes! Great Master, you know my uncle too?"
Green rolled his eyes. The stupid dragon had spent too much time with Erha lately, and his already modest intelligence had taken a sharp dive. Besides, he and Erha had mainly been supporting Penny's army in the south and had paid little attention to the recent war in the north. As far as Alshfaro was concerned, the outcome was never in doubt. Whoever the enemy was, they were doomed to lose.
Green rolled his eyes again and glanced at Aidya. "Fine. Go north, find your uncle, and tell him his daughter is in my hands. Tell him to become my subordinate. Work out the exact wording yourself. That's the gist of it. Understood?"
Before Alshfaro could answer, Aidya, now in the form of a little human girl, lit up. "Wonderful! Does that mean I've been kidnapped? And if Dad doesn't come, you'll kill the hostage? How exciting!"
