Of course they knew about those spiral structures. They simply thought they were useless.
But Green had brought his understanding from before he crossed over. To him, genes were the right path, and the idea sounded impressive.
So he required the scientists under him to take their biological research down to the genetic level and combine it with magic and alchemy.
That requirement was precisely why Professor Arkansas had discovered the Black Death Virus so quickly and soon developed an improved version.
But it was nothing like the virus Green remembered from stories about a biological disaster, the kind that turned humans into zombies.
The virus Professor Arkansas had developed was a product of Necromancy. With the Zombie Virus's help, a Necromancer could further enhance spells such as Undead Resurrection and Death Corruption.
Under normal circumstances, for example, a Necromancer using Undead Resurrection could turn only around a hundred corpses into Undead at once. Even a Legendary Rank Necromancer could not exceed a thousand.
With this new Black Death Virus, however, a Necromancer did not need to control the corpses. He only needed to control the virus.
The Black Death Virus would then control the corpses, creating an entirely new kind of Undead creature.
These creatures fought about as well as ordinary Skeleton Soldiers, but under the same conditions, a Necromancer could easily control ten times as many.
Professor Arkansas called the improved strain the "Number One Virus," and it would soon be ready for a battlefield trial.
The next morning.
After several hours of regrouping, the Dark Holy Crusaders and Hopper Army, having taken the first wall, surged toward the second wall dozens of kilometers away.
