"No!" Princess Muer Yatis yowled like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

Green glanced at her from the corner of his eye, and an icy killing intent enveloped her once more.

Princess Muer Yatis caught her breath and immediately swallowed what she had been about to say. She gave a nervous laugh. "Well... I mean, couldn't we find a compromise? I could swear an oath, for instance."

Green shook his head. "An oath? I can make those whenever I like. Tell me, which deity would you swear by?"
