Green returned to the first officer's station and quietly observed his surroundings while carefully examining Colonel Zeka's memories.

A spoiled rich kid with decent talent and some ability. This identity will do, Green thought. He had chosen his target almost at random: partly to learn what the Divine Eagle Empire wanted, and partly to test the Faceless mask.

But after taking Colonel Zeka's place and acquiring some of his memories, Green realized this might be an opportunity.

He still did not know why the Divine Eagle Empire had sent this airship here, but its purpose could hardly be aboveboard. Otherwise, they would not have sent a single airship sneaking in.

Green suspected the Divine Eagle Empire had made some secret deal with the God of Death, or perhaps his representative.

If he was right, this would give him a way in. He could also find out whether Sonic and Hiddink had fallen into the God of Death's hands—or had already become his subordinates.

Green thought the second possibility more likely.

Green sat down at the first officer's station and studied the complex console before him. He was awkward with it at first, but gradually got the hang of it after drawing on Colonel Zeka's relevant memories.

Fortunately, Colonel Zeka had little to do most of the time, and no one noticed Green's slight hesitation.

"Adjust coordinates. Prepare to descend!" Major General Como stared at the screen before him. On the Holographic Map, they were drawing ever closer to Ace City.

According to his mission briefing, all they had to do next was land at the designated coordinates.

"Yes, sir!" the navigation officer answered from the bridge's control room, then deftly worked the controls before him.

The enormous airship began to slow and descend.

"Altitude, 300... Bearing, southeast, fifteen degrees, twenty-three
