Green held his sword in hand. Though he used no more Psychic Energy than an Early Legendary, he brought his level-nine Swordsmanship Master skill to bear.
In the blink of an eye, the green sword light, several meters long, swept forward. With a brilliantly subtle move, it slipped past the Bone Claw's attack and struck at its weakest point.
It looked effortless, almost casual. Then, with a crack, his sword severed the enormous Bone Claw at the wrist!
For an instant, the air seemed to stand still.
Everyone stared in disbelief.
The huge Bone Claw fell slowly from the sky and crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces.
The giant half-skeleton roared. Badly wounded, it abandoned Major General Como and swung its other Bone Claw at Green.
Meanwhile, the stump of its severed hand writhed violently. A new Bone Claw grew from it at a speed visible to the naked eye.
"You damned insect! Die!" an enraged voice bellowed from inside the giant skeleton.
Green looked toward the voice. He could just make out a figure inside the giant skull's mouth. That was the one who had shouted.
"So that's where your real body is hiding?" Green narrowed his eyes, a cold smile appearing on his face. "Interesting. You want to lure me into your mouth and swallow me? You showed me that opening on purpose, hoping I'd mistake it for a weakness and go straight for it. How devious."
Green saw through the enemy's trick at once, but he charged toward the danger anyway.
His figure flickered, evading the swinging Bone Claw.
Then green sword light flashed again. The stroke was just like the last, only faster.
He severed the enormous Demigod skeleton's other Bone Claw, then rushed toward its open, roaring mouth.
"Don't go in! It's a trap!"
