Green understood. This was another restriction. The three combat partner slots were probably a concession to summoner-type Transcendents; otherwise, some of them would be as good as useless once they lost their summons.

But that concession came with limits on both the number of summons and their maximum combat output.

The stronger a summon was, the more Psychic Energy it consumed and the less time it could be used.

With those restrictions, the summoner-type Transcendents who benefited could not use their summons without restraint.

Green ventured deeper into the Rainforest, surveying his surroundings. When he spotted an enormous tree, an idea struck him. His body transformed into a mechanical insect with a series of clicks and clacks. He spun into the ground, then bored upward through the roots and into the trunk.

Green decided to lie low for now. Once the Blue Team and Green Team began slaughtering each other and the four teams' strengths returned to a balance, he could emerge and make trouble.
