"End all exploitation and oppression, and create a perfect world!" Modi declared, his eyelids lowered and his voice deep and resolute.
Hercules did not mock or dismiss him. For a man so committed to his cause that he would give up everything without hesitation, Hercules felt nothing but a measure of respect.
Besides, he had come to meet Modi to seek cooperation, not make an enemy.
"Mr. Modi, I know your ideals. But changing the mortal world alone won't be enough to build a truly perfect world. As long as divine authority exists, there can never be fairness," Hercules said. "What you really need to overthrow is the gods' rule over the Void."
Modi's clouded eyes settled on Hercules. "You want me to overthrow divine authority entirely? Aren't you a deity yourself?"
Hercules smiled. His pupils suddenly turned black—a pure, absolute black. "That was in the past. I've been reborn."
Modi frowned as he studied Hercules. He knew something about the existence of "Them," but he did not care. All he cared about now was whether the revolution would succeed and whether he could build the perfect world he envisioned in the Void Worlds.
"Well, if you want to cooperate, tell me what you want and what I stand to gain." Modi straightened his back as he spoke, a piercing light flashing in his clouded eyes.
"It's simple. Lead your Revolutionary Army and destroy the Holy Light Church and the Divine Eagle Empire," Hercules said.
Modi frowned. With his current strength, that was impossible. But he said nothing yet and waited quietly. There had to be more.
Sure enough, Hercules continued, "As your ally, I'll provide you with more powerful equipment and shield you from interference by the gods."
