Miel woke from unconsciousness to a blur of white. It took several seconds for her eyes to adjust to the light.

She rubbed her temples. Something felt strange, as though she were completely different from before.

What's going on? Didn't I die? Miel thought, looking around.

She was in a vast, magnificent Palace. The oppressive colors of its decorations gave it an eerie air.

She lay naked on a black marble floor streaked with white. It felt cool against her skin, but comfortable.

A faintly sweet scent hung in the air. It was the aura of Death Psychic Energy. Before becoming undead, Miel would have found it oppressive. Now that she was an undead creature, she felt like a fish in water.

"Is anyone here?" Miel called tentatively. She walked deeper into the Palace, step by step, as Psychic Energy gathered into clothing that covered her body.

At last, she saw a young man seated on a high throne. An immediate sense of closeness welled up in her, and she instinctively dropped to one knee. "Great master..."

Miel froze. Why had she knelt? Why had she called the man above her master?

There seemed to be no reason. It simply felt natural, and deep down, she felt no resistance to it.

"You're awake," Green said mildly, studying Miel's condition.

According to the Graveyard's display, Miel had regained her original strength after her transformation into an undead creature. She had reached High Calamity Rank and possessed formidable combat power.

What caught Green's attention, however, was the string of question marks after Miel's name. He did not know what they meant.

There was no doubt, though: he had turned Miel into an undead creature.
