Grand Duke Mora listened to Green's account, smiling as he sipped the red wine in his glass.
"Indeed. Whether it's a family or a kingdom, everything starts from nothing and grows from there," Grand Duke Mora said with a sigh.
Green smiled and waited for Grand Duke Mora to continue. He knew the grand duke had not come to see him without a reason.
Sure enough, after a brief silence, Grand Duke Mora drained his glass and asked slowly, "You were the one who used the Insect Race to help Muleisina defeat the Revolutionary Army, weren't you?"
Green did not deny it. There was no point denying something like that to Grand Duke Mora.
Besides, with his current strength, Green had no need to hide it. He nodded. "I was. A few chance encounters gave me the biotechnology to breed the Insect Race. I left an experimental base in Void World 26. I never expected it to play such a crucial role this time."
Grand Duke Mora nodded and fixed his gaze on Green. "What if I asked you to give me the technology for producing the Insect Race?"
Green looked at him in surprise, then thought it over. "Certainly. It's no great matter. In fact, I've already shared the technology with a few others."
Grand Duke Mora smiled. He had long suspected Green was the one who had spread the Insect Race technology; he simply had no proof. But at this point, proof hardly mattered.
"Thank you. I won't let you come away empty-handed. I found this years ago. It may have come from Beyond the Void." With that, Grand Duke Mora took out a palm-sized black rectangle.
Green paused, then narrowed his eyes and reached out to take it.
It was surprisingly light, with a faintly textured feel.
