The four Holy Crusaders were grateful they had read the situation quickly and held back. Otherwise, their corpses would already be cold. They were also more curious than ever: where had the Anomalies Bureau found this harbinger of doom? Had the commotion in Landon City alerted the Kingdom's higher-ups, who had sent an expert from the Royal Capital? Or was he someone who had been hiding in Northwest Province?
All sorts of thoughts flashed through the four Holy Crusaders' minds, but they agreed on one thing: unless someone of a bishop's rank came, they must not cross this young Necromancer.
Green, meanwhile, had become a spectator. When he heard the commotion below, he had meant to go down and help, but the squad of Skeleton Soldiers had unexpectedly fought beyond their limits and crushed the mercenaries despite being outnumbered. Even Green was surprised that a group of individually capable mercenaries could fall so easily. Perhaps that was the difference between a well-trained force and a ragtag mob.
