Long Ye looked at Rin on the bed, his brows tightly furrowed and his expression grave.
Ever since half a year ago, Rin had entered a Tailed Beast Transformation state at intervals. Although he had discovered and stopped her in time every time, Konoha had still suffered considerable losses.
After several such incidents, the villagers of Konoha naturally began to feel uneasy and had developed quite a few complaints about Rin.
Though, out of consideration for her being Minato Namikaze's student and for the sake of Long Ye, Kakashi, and the others, most people did not dare say anything to her face, they had long been gossiping behind her back.
This had also placed a great psychological burden on Rin.
It was obvious that over the past six months, the smile on Rin's face had grown increasingly rare. Only when she was with Long Ye did her withdrawn emotions ease somewhat.
Given the situation, Long Ye secretly felt that he had to find a way to resolve this problem as soon as possible, preferably once and for all.
His pitying gaze fell upon the girl's face on the bed.
After transforming into the Tailed Beast, Rin was mentally exhausted and had fallen into a deep sleep.
Perhaps she was dreaming of something sad. A tear the size of a bean slid from the corner of Rin's eye, soaking the creamy-white pillowcase.
Long Ye's heart ached at the sight. He reached out and wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes.
As if sensing him, Rin unconsciously grabbed his hand. It was as though this hand were her last lifeline, and she clutched it tightly, afraid that it might disappear if she let go for even a moment.
At that moment, two people silently entered from outside the door.
