To avoid wasting time and to save everyone some data, I'll state my conclusion directly.

[First, regarding Luffy's fruit, it should be related to Sunlight Tree Eve. Although we don't know what his fruit's ability truly is, I think the essence of Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit should have some kind of peculiar connection to Sunlight Tree Eve and the resin secreted by the Sabaody Archipelago's mangroves. Or, to put it more directly, Luffy himself may very well be a Sunlight Tree Eve capable of secreting resin.]

[Second, Sun God Nika should also have the same kind of fruit ability as Luffy. The Red Line was not originally connected into one continuous structure, either. There were gaps at Holy Land Mary Geoise and Laugh Tale, but someone later sealed them. Before dying, the Sun God used his fruit ability—something similar to an awakened state—to alter the surrounding environment and create Sunlight Tree Eve. He did not allow the Red Line to become completely connected, leaving this hole beneath Fish-Man Island: this gap.]
