Chance Encounter with an Old Friend

"Gourmet City Puji truly lived up to its reputation!" Ryan and the others exclaimed.

Looking down from the Soaring Dragon, the entire Gourmet City lay spread out beneath them. The streets below teemed with people, and shops stood everywhere, every single one related to food. Vendors pushed carts through the streets selling snacks, while colorful balloons and food advertisements could be seen everywhere. There were houses made of cake and storefronts built from special ingredients. This place matched every one of Ryan's imaginings of a Gourmet City!

Even high in the air, Ryan could smell the unique fragrance of food.

This was not the scent of any one particular dish, but Gourmet City's own distinctive aroma, cultivated over hundreds of years. It was a fragrance formed by blending together every food that had ever appeared here.

Normally, mixing so many scents together would easily make them unpleasant, but that clearly did not apply here.

Ryan closed his eyes and greedily savored the drifting fragrance. It was as though he saw a vast scroll unfurl before him, displaying every dish that had appeared in Gourmet City over the centuries, each one laid out before him, waiting to be tasted and enjoyed.

"Come on, let's take a look around!"

After Beli guided the Soaring Dragon down, Ryan stored the ship in his Storage Space.

The group strolled through the bustling food street. Everything here was a feast for the eyes, like stepping into an architectural hall that gathered styles from every era and land. From the phoenix sculpture at the street entrance to the storefront decorations in all sorts of styles, everything showcased the charm of architectural art. The people from different races also added a touch of foreign folk culture to the street.
