Yet the things one feared most often came true!
The Hulk, whose flesh and blood had clearly been mangled just moments ago, had now re-formed an even more imposing body. Veins bulged across his thick arms, green blood coursed through them, and every wound had healed once more.
The man who had been standing on the Hulk's head and swaggering around had already been smashed to pieces between the Hulk's enormous palms!
That's right!
That's right!
He had been crushed alive!
Rather than shrinking, the Hulk grew even larger. His eyes were bloodshot, and endless pressure radiated from his scarlet gaze—intimidating these cowards!
If any expert from the latter half of the Grand Line had been present, they would have sensed that the Hulk's aura was nothing else but Haki!
Conqueror's Haki was an exceptionally rare form of kingly Haki—but in truth, those who possessed Haki could still intimidate those who had not mastered it. It simply was not as immediate or overwhelmingly effective as Conqueror's Haki.
It was still too early to say that Banner possessed Conqueror's Haki, but what was terrifying was that his explosive increase in strength had passively awakened his Haki.
Just how terrifying were his physical abilities?
They had not even entered the Grand Line yet; they were only in the North Blue—how could these thugs who lurked around Tinos possibly know what Haki was?
For a moment, the situation spiraled out of control. Many whose resolve had never been firm fainted on the spot, while some still had enough strength to flee—they had only one goal left: get away from here, get away from this murderous fiend who killed without blinking!
The Hulk did not kill with weapons or martial arts. He relied on nothing but brute force, smashing people to death! Slapping them to death!
This way of dying filled them with terror from the depths of their souls.
"Help!"
One person took the lead, and the rest followed.
They had already lost the will to fight. Staying behind meant nothing but waiting to die—those without the resolve for it could only be weeded out on the battlefield!
"He can still stand up?" The lackey remained unnamed even now, but no one cared. His expression was incomparably ugly.
"It's the secret weapon. Bring out Weapon Number One!" The lackey did not hesitate in the slightest. Otherwise, even Kham's men would have to run for their lives. "That weapon will definitely work! Don't tell me some Zoan user can revive endlessly!"
Clearly, attributing all this to the Zoan's terrifying regenerative power was the best explanation.
But even regeneration should have a limit. They absolutely refused to believe this Hulk was truly impossible to kill!
"He's clearly just a beast who cannot even control his own consciousness!" The lackey refused to believe it. "Weapon Number One is one of Germa 66's core technologies—the Electromagnetic Gun!"
The Electromagnetic Gun could be called a weapon far beyond its era.
In an age when flintlock guns were commonly used across the world, if someone suddenly pulled out a laser gun or an Electromagnetic Gun, wouldn't that be cheating?
It was precisely because they had such an absurd weapon that they feared nothing!
Still, they doubted whether it would actually work—the weapon's power was something they had only heard about and never witnessed firsthand, so naturally they lacked confidence.
But Banner had suffered one blow after another. No matter how absurd the Hulk's regeneration was, it could not withstand such punishment forever.
Besides, these people had lived long enough!
Banner roared and pushed off with both hands and feet, launching his entire body a hundred meters into the air. His terrifying body, weighing more than ten tons, crashed straight down!
The Hulk's attacks were somewhat simplistic, but this strike was extraordinarily powerful.
In the blink of an eye, Kham's subordinates and the others holding their ground were smashed into scattered pieces. Some were crushed to pulp—unable to even let out a scream before they died.
Organs and blood lay strewn about, while flesh and bones painted the ground.
Even people like them, who had experienced all manner of life-and-death situations, could not help but feel sick.
"Let me put an end to you, Monster!" The lackey leaped backward and snatched the Electromagnetic Gun that had just been carried out.
The Electromagnetic Gun was no lightweight. Its body was a full meter and a half long, with a sleek technological appearance and compressed, bead-like electric energy particles orbiting it.
The lackey aimed the muzzle at the Hulk's body and pulled the trigger.
"Bzzzt!"
"Boom!"
"Bang!"
The sound of electromagnetic oscillation rang out, and in an instant, crackling energy condensed into a highly penetrating Railgun blast!
The Railgun continued for more than ten seconds. The blue beam, flickering with electric sparks, slammed into the Hulk's body, forcing him back step by step and even making him seek cover to temporarily shield himself.
But how could those ruined buildings and stones protect such an enormous body?
"Hahaha—" The lackey had gone completely mad. Holding such a powerful weapon, he felt invincible. "Die!"
But the number of electric energy particles was limited. Fewer than ten particles could only sustain the Railgun for a little over ten seconds.
The Hulk's body suffered another devastating blow, but this time, his recovery was much slower.
"Argh—"
The Hulk cried out in pain, clutching the back of his struck hand and the scorched half of his body. He could barely remain standing.
Banner had no control over his body, and with only the will of a beast, he had wasted far too much time. Moreover, by now, the Hulk's body had pushed past its limits again and again, long since reaching its threshold.
This time would truly be the last!
If the Hulk still failed to eliminate these enemies, Banner's body would be in danger.
"Now! Everyone, attack together!" the lackey commanded. "He's done for! He's reached his limit!"
Everyone had witnessed the Hulk's miserable state. Hearing the lackey's command, they were all tempted, wanting to seize the credit for killing this Monster—who knew how much it could elevate their status?
The crowd rushed forward, all wanting to deliver a fatal blow to the enormous Monster.
But they had clearly underestimated the Hulk. Even heavily wounded by the Railgun, he still possessed terrifying strength that could not be underestimated. Banner merely endured the pain and swung his arm, sending everyone who charged at him flying.
After swiftly dealing with those overconfident fools, the Hulk panted heavily as his towering body closed in on the lackey step by step.
"No!"
The lackey let out a shrill cry. As the green Monster's iron fist came down, he was reduced to a mangled heap of flesh and blood in an instant.
"Huff... ah..."
Amid strange writhing and shifting of muscle, the magnificent body that had stood over six meters tall gradually shrank. His skin color changed, and he eventually returned to a haggard, curly-haired man.
"I lost control again..." Banner clutched the burning half of his body. "It was worse this time. Looks like I need to find somewhere safe..."
Banner did not linger. Dragging along his loose tank top and oversized shorts, which astonishingly had not torn apart, he hid himself away.
However, in a dark corner connected to an underground structure, a mechanical eye flashing red light locked onto Banner after he had returned to human form.
