"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Caroline, and I come from the sea kingdom of Germa 66."
Caroline bowed slightly, revealing a breathtaking view.
Despite her alluring appeal, the two males, one big and one small, were far more shocked by hearing the name Germa 66.
"What?" Emondi said in disbelief. "You couldn't possibly be from that devil family!"
Aeneas did not say much on the side, but he knew very well what Emondi was referring to—it was none other than the ruling family of Germa 66, the Vinsmoke Family of the North Blue!
"If I could be granted the surname Vinsmoke, it would be the honor of a lifetime!" Caroline said with a hint of fanaticism, her pretty eyes then drooping slightly. "Not really. Are you disappointed? There are hundreds or thousands of test subjects like Orton, and major islands across the North Blue have people just like me."
"Tinos is simply one of them!" Caroline said indifferently. "Orton is already a failed piece of trash."
"But he's still more than enough to deal with you two!" Caroline looked at Emondi and Aeneas with a smile. "What a cute little boy. What's the matter, did you get lost? Come here to big sis."
The latter half of the sentence was said with a specially targeted wink at Aeneas.
"No way!" Aeneas shook his head rapidly. He had zero desire to stay with a perverted woman with such weird kinks.
"Then you aren't cute at all!" Caroline actually looked a bit vexed, pouting in displeasure.
Aeneas admitted that while he was no upright gentleman, he was not about to be led by the nose by such a dangerous woman.
"What on earth is your goal? Is the Kam Group backed by you people too?" Emondi seemed to have realized something terrifying. "How many cyborgs like Orton are there?"
"Kham?" Caroline feigned forgetfulness, scratching her hair before speaking with a sudden realization a long time later. "Are you talking about that guy in the clone experiment base?"
"That's right. Tinos has long since been in the palm of Germa 66's hand," Caroline said indifferently, before she stopped wasting breath on Emondi. She casually tossed something into Orton's chest right where Aeneas had poked through earlier.
"Buzz! Pop!"
Orton's body suddenly began to shake violently, and electric sparks actually flashed across his skin!
Some parts even began to self-ignite, though what was exposed underneath wasn't muscle and bone, but gleaming metal: a mechanical arm, a mechanical torso, and mechanical legs!
Except for his head, Orton was actually composed entirely of machinery?
"Even with just a head, a person's mindset still affects a machine's execution rate," Caroline muttered to herself as she watched Orton begin to reveal his true form. "No matter how you look at it, the success rate of converting normal humans into mechanical soldiers is far too low. It's simply not as good as directly producing clone soldiers—even though they're expensive to make, they're very stable!"
Caroline supported her chin, her reddish-brown hair draped over both shoulders, her skin fair and tender, and her figure curvaceous.
Yet the men had no time to appreciate this beauty, for Orton had changed!
The previous Orton could be said to have been a bit sluggish—perhaps that was the real Orton, possessing brute strength without much brains. But now, Orton's eyes were bloodshot; although the skin on his body was peeling off, those bionic limbs still hung from his mechanical torso.
Stimulated by the electric current, these muscles swelled rapidly instead, and the resulting reflection was a surge of skyrocketing power!
"Buzz—"
Orton seemed to have lost the ability to speak, mechanically raising his giant axe. Although his movements were stiff, the whole body quickly became nimble and fluent as the current stimulated him.
"Heh, the Overload Battery will keep Orton in a 'fully charged state' for three whole days and nights!" Caroline smiled sweetly, speaking to Emondi, whose movements had begun to look somewhat flustered.
Orton—no, to be precise, mechanical Orton—swung the giant axe weighing several tons with fluid and rapid movements, completely without any lag. For such a heavy giant axe, he was actually able to execute continuous swings?
And the speed was getting faster and faster.
Emondi's positioning was more akin to an assassin. Facing an Orton who was tanky as hell yet so agile and high-speed, he could only defend wearily, let alone even think about a counterattack—it was simply impossible!
Yet Orton's target seemed to be solely Emondi, completely ignoring Aeneas on the side as if he hadn't seen him at all.
Aeneas certainly wasn't going to sit and wait for death; right now, only he could save Emondi from crisis!
Yet the moment Aeneas prepared to make a move, Caroline in the distance unexpectedly vanished right where she stood. The next instant, a delicate hand pressed against Aeneas's chest, and with a gentle push, she sent him flying through the air.
"Ugh!" Caroline frowned, rubbing her wrists. "You guy are really heavy!"
By the time Aeneas collected his wits, he had already left his previous location far behind, looking with utmost shock at Caroline, who was gripping her own wrist in front of him.
What shocked Aeneas was that this Caroline actually possessed such formidable strength of her own?
He had originally thought Caroline was merely a vase who needed to rely on those mechanical soldiers to protect her, but in reality, she possessed self-preservation capabilities of her own?
"Don't be surprised. This is all the power of Germa 66's technology!" Caroline supported her wrist, and Aeneas caught sight of the tech-bracelet she wore on it, though he didn't know its specific use.
Yet he could deduce that the speed and strength that had just erupted from Caroline should both be related to this bracelet.
Aeneas lowered his head to look, and sure enough, there were similar bracelets around her ankles as well.
"Like it? Will you come away with me? I'll let you see a bellyful on the ship—" However, that little glance took on a completely different flavor in Caroline's eyes, for Aeneas's gaze was fixed not just on the ankle bracelets, but on those fair legs.
"Huh?" Aeneas was suddenly startled. "In bed?"
Well, Aeneas had misheard as well, conjuring up a terrifying mental picture in his mind.
"Knuckled Down!" Grit gathered all over Aeneas's body, erupting in an instant with a brilliant golden radiance. A heavy left hook struck straight out into Caroline's stomach, but the tactile sensation felt as though he had struck a punch-testing machine, the force completely dissipated!
"Such a young age and you already go around hitting women?" Caroline said in displeasure.
She really had been a normal person originally, and even though she had trained in physical arts, she was no expert in that field. Yet under the tech-enhancement of Germa 66, the power she acquired became entirely different!
Although it was not the most perfect set form—rumor had it that version had no side effects and came with its own repair and healing functions. These were merely technological rumors Caroline had heard of; as for whether one had truly been manufactured, her status meant she could not touch intelligence in that area.
The "Combat Bracelet" Caroline currently wore was a relatively widespread auxiliary item, allowing her speed and strength to be multiplied a hundredfold, though it would leave behind hidden health hazards.
