Massive shadows blocked the path of the ship, and the crew members were terrified to the extreme.
Yet Wude took out a good item he had purchased from Sabaody Archipelago.
A device capable of covering a person's body with a layer of bubbles.
Wearing an outer layer of bubbles with functions similar to a diving suit, Wude grabbed a rope, tying one end around his waist and the other to the main mast.
Then, wearing the outer bubble layer, he charged right out of the ship's hull, passing through the large bubble of the hull.
Entering the deep sea, he swam rapidly toward that shadow under the protection of the outer bubble layer, holding a knife in one hand.
Ocean currents washed over him, but with the rope tightly tied to the main mast, he did not worry about being swept away by the currents into a wave of "subnautica".
Wude and the huge figure approached each other, both seeing the other clearly.
“The prophecy was inaccurate.” Wude looked at the deep-sea monster.
There was indeed a monster blocking the way, but it was not an octopus monster.
Huge brownish-yellow eyes stared at him, light brown manes fluttering with the surging ocean currents, sharp long fangs exposed outside its mouth. This was a deep-sea monster with the head of a lion and the patterned fish tail of a lower body.
Sea beasts in the One Piece world were just like this, growing in bizarre shapes, like a genetically spliced monster.
“Could it be that thousands of years ago, this ocean was a genetic testing ground for certain civilizations?” A bold hypothesis formed in Wude’s mind.
The lion-headed sea beast opened its bloody mouth, lunging forward with its head to ferociously swallow him.
A human like a small bug was completely beneath its contempt in its eyes; its goal was to tear apart the hull behind.
Wude drew his long knife, smiled happily upon seeing the “cuisine,” and slashed out.
A sky-blue slashing wave rushed forward rapidly in the seawater, trailing ripples behind the curved slash, cutting across the lion-headed sea beast in a single strike, the sharp slash slicing through the fish tail of the lion-headed sea beast.
Splat!
Fresh blood dyed the seawater red as the huge fish tail separated from the sea beast’s body and was kicked by Wude toward the ship’s hull.
"Catch it, today we're having a lion sea beast feast!"
The people on the ship hurriedly threw out hook ropes, and iron hooks successively caught the huge fish tail.
The lion sea beast wailed miserably, turning around to make a run for it.
Wude gripped his knife with both hands, his eyes fixed tightly on the sea beast’s head, and thrust straight ahead.
A cold gleam broke away from the tip of the knife, transforming into a slender, piercing-type slash.
The cold gleam vanished in an instant, penetrating the lion-headed sea beast's head—an instant kill!
The lion sea beast lost consciousness, its body slowly floating forward with momentum, an inconspicuous bloody hole on the back of its head penetrating through to the forehead, bright red blood drifting out.
The ship threw out hook ropes once more, snagging the sea beast's body.
“Next, we’ll eat braised lion’s head, steamed sea beast fish tail, and pan-fried sea beast fins.” Wude looked at the sea beast hanging behind the ship and spoke.
After cutting off a few pieces of sea beast meat, Wude began his grand deep-sea culinary plan.
Not long after, a group of people sat on the deck with him, holding a large bowl of the sea beast feast and devouring it ravenously.
They were now closer to Fish-Man Island, and the light was somewhat better.
Not far away, the shadowy silhouette of another ship appeared.
Everyone eating the feast looked over out of boredom.
Faintly, they could see that on that ship, graceful figures were dancing hot dances, and quite a few people were waving and cheering.
Everyone grew even more interested.
As they continued approaching the Fish-Man Island region, the light finally became good enough for them to see the ship opposite them clearly.
Thump, thump, thump... thump, thump!
Someone on the opposite ship was beating a leather drum rhythmically, and on a simple stage, a figure wearing lace and styling a ponytail danced a spicy dance.
He looked back and smiled at Wude and the others... an absolute killer move!
A horrifying face wore a clown-like makeup, his smile worthy of a 9.8-score horror film, which, paired with that graceful and extremely beautiful body, truly made for a terrifying combination, scaring the hell out of people.
“Yue~!” Wude opened his mouth and almost vomited.
Bold as he was, seeing this scene also broke his defense, and he hurriedly waved his hand to order everyone to turn their heads collectively.
"Stop looking, keep looking and someone's gonna die!" The coolie workers all endured their nausea and turned away.
“What a hilarious person.” Jia looked at that fellow in amazement. “Is he a comedy actor?”
"This isn't a matter of whether it's funny or not, he's the kind who makes you want to throw up."
After putting plenty of distance between themselves and that bizarre pirate ship, Wude and the others passed through the entrance to Fish-Man Island.
The dismembered sea beast hanging behind their ship attracted the attention of the soldiers stationed at Dragon Palace.
However, Tiger was not on Fish-Man Island at the time, and Fish-Man Island was in its most chaotic period, so they did not dare give Wude a hard time and let them pass directly.
Still, what did Wude and the others count as compared with drawing attention? They were merely a small fish beside a big one, all right.
Next, a ship sailed over, the sound of thump-thump-thump drums spreading across the water. The okama dancing a sultry dance gave the Dragon Palace soldiers a flower-like smile, knocking a whole group of them down.
Fish-Man Island was enveloped by a huge bubble; here, not only was there a pure seawater residential area where only fish-men and merfolk could survive, but there was also an area with air suitable for humans to live.
Colorful coral grew around, exposed above the water surface, and on huge scallops sat beautiful merfolk in swimsuits, beauties smiling gently and softly.
There were also cute little mermaid sisters wearing hats, a ring of bubbles floating around their bodies, happily chasing and frolicking behind the mermaid older sisters.
"Damn it, that okama disgusted me so much, the food I ate all came back up. I'm going to find a mermaid young lady to heal my wounded soul!"
In the distance, on a moored pirate ship, a man's shout came over.
"Ah haha, if you ask me, just plundering them directly would do!" Another pirate grinned evilly, his eyes lewdly glancing toward the collarbone area of a mermaid young lady while gripping his knife.
The mermaid young ladies protected the children behind them, staring alertly at these unruly outsiders and slowly retreating backward.
"Hey, brothers next door, how about we cooperate? Once we plunder a large batch of merfolk, we'll split it four-six, enjoy ourselves first, and then sell them for a good price!" The captain of that group of pirates shouted toward Wude's side.
Wude paid them no mind; he sat on the ship's railing, holding a small notebook in his hand, while the goons also held small notebooks, flipping through the bounties of these pirates.
"Hey, this great man is talking to you, did you hear me, you bastard!" The dark-skinned pirate captain roared in dissatisfaction.
The mermaid young ladies also nervously looked toward Wude.
"They aren't flying a pirate flag, the captain and the others aren't pirates, right?" The navigator pointed at the mast of the opposite ship and said.
"Hahahaha, so it turns out to be a bunch of..."
The sea beast's body hanging behind Wude's ship slowly floated up from under the water, revealing its massive size.
The pirate captain swallowed the next two words, "weaklings," right back down. He found that Wude had raised his head to look at him, and that sharp gaze scared him into wiping away a cold sweat.
What to do, he read little, he wasn't good with words, how should he reply to avoid a certain death?
Waiting online, super urgent.
"Barlow, a pirate from West Blue, bounty: 9 million Berry." Crew member Jia flipped to this fellow's bounty and said to Wude.
"9 million Berry, a bit low." Wude stood by the side of the ship, holding the hilt of his knife in one hand and looking at the opponent with a cold expression. "No need to go to the New World to get beaten up, this place is your final stop."
With a thump, Barlow dropped directly to his knees.
"..." Handsome is speechless, haven't I even fought yet?
How come your business of kneeling down to beg for mercy is so proficient?
The mermaid young ladies also looked in astonishment at that pirate who knelt before the fight even started; what was wrong with this man?
Before you continue
