The arc ended with Gu Jingang taking control of the village as Zhao Honglie and the great clans prepared to move against Liu Yuanhu.

• Gu Sheng killed Lu Yue, returned with the auction’s spoils, and began training with the Flying Thunder Leg.
• Gu Sheng became the Blade Hunter known as Butcher, killed Xiong Jianmei and the Three Fiends of Gale, and advanced through the Blood Refining Realm.
• Gu Sheng killed Han Lu and Wang Chong, then used a Bone Protecting Pill to accelerate his bone tempering.
• Gu Sheng saved Helian Tielan, killed Leng Yun, learned the Helian Weapon Forging Art, and obtained the great axe Thirstblood.

Gu Sheng protected Gu Family Village while the Black Sand Gang and allied families fought Liu Yuanhu for control of Canghe County. After Liu Yuanhu prevailed and took power, Gu Sheng learned Shadow Concealment Art, received a token connected to the Saint Pill Sect, and heard that Gu Xiaojiang had joined the Chiyun Guard.

• Gu Jingang advanced under Gu Sheng's guidance, while Gu Sheng neared the Bone Refining Realm and the rival forces prepared to attack Gu Family Village.
• Gu Jingang's defenders repelled Lu Ming's raid with Gu Sheng's hidden archery, and Gu Sheng later killed Lu Ming and the surviving attackers before the conflict spread across the county.
• Gu Sheng broke through to the Copper Bone Realm as Zhao Honglie's forces set a trap for Liu Yuanhu, but Liu Yuanhu and Mo Chen ambushed the invading families and drove them from Canghe County.
• Wang Tiansheng's armored assault on Gu Family Village was interrupted by a demonic tiger, which Gu Sheng later helped bring down before killing Niu Zidong and the other Black Sand Gang survivors.
• Gu Sheng took the Fanged Blood Tiger's remains to Ge Qing, who identified its rare bloodline and explained the higher grades of pills, artifacts, techniques, and martial arts.
• Zhao Honglie's forces breached Canghe County's gates, and Qian Jin stabbed Liu Yuanhu, but Ge Qing intervened and forced the attackers to retreat.

Gu Sheng left Gu Family Village for Chiyun Prefecture, entered the Saint Pill Sect as a menial disciple, and proved his strength through dangerous fights and inventive weapon-making. After discovering that the Mu brothers planned to kill him, he killed Mu Qinghe and Mu Qingyuan and confronted the fleeing Mu Qingwen.

• Gu Sheng refused the clan elders’ attempt to bind him to the main family, prepared Gu Wan for his departure, and left Gu Family Village for Chiyun Prefecture.
• Mu Qingyuan’s party stole the Saint Pill Sect’s Iron Thunderwood and Roaring Thunder Fruits, then abandoned Gu Sheng during their escape from Lin Miaomiao’s investigation.
• Gu Sheng met Lu Junyi through Ge Qing’s token and entered the Saint Pill Sect as a menial disciple, where he paid Liu Yiming to handle his work quota.
• Gu Sheng hunted a Hallucinogenic Porcupine and saved Mo Buwen from the Thousand Poisons Sect, killing several attackers and revealing his Copper Bone Realm strength.

Gu Sheng killed Wu Xinyu and Shi Lezhi, became Wen Mingyan’s disciple, and prepared for the Chiyun Secret Domain. Wu Gui secretly rose in power and moved to seize control of the Thousand Poisons Sect, while Nie Jian confronted him.

• Gu Sheng and his companions killed the Iron Bone King Snake and recovered the Bone Washing Flower, but Wu Xinyu’s group attacked them with poison and hallucination smoke.
• Gu Sheng defeated Wu Xinyu’s disciples, rescued Lin Miaomiao and the others with an antidote, and returned to the Saint Pill Sect, where Lu Junyi extorted Wu Gui for the Ink Bamboo Saber and one million taels.
• Gu Sheng passed Spirit Pill Peak’s alchemy assessment, advanced to the Silver Bone Realm, and learned that Shi Lezhi had killed Liu Yiming after discovering a flower hidden in Gu Sheng’s room.

• Wu Gui secretly broke through to the ninth level of the Marrow Refining Realm and gathered elders to demand war against the Saint Pill Sect, but Nie Jian drew the Ting Xue Saber and warned him to abandon his rebellion.
