The blazing desert sun still scorched the earth, and the air was thick with suffocating heat.
Lin Feng narrowed his eyes, sensing the unusual fluctuations in the air. Buvis's aura was undergoing an earth-shaking transformation.
Purple-black vapor surged from Buvis's body, like burning flames enveloping his entire form.
Buvis's presence became even more violent. His feathers grew sharper, each one gleaming with a metallic luster like a blade.
"Hehehe, brat, let me show you the power of awakening!"
Buvis laughed wildly, spreading his wings wide enough to blot out the sky. He looked like a demonic bird from hell, ready to devour heaven and earth.
Lin Feng's expression turned grave. Armament Haki wrapped around his blade, while the Demon God Blade in his hand seemed to sense its master's fighting spirit and let out a low hum.
Golden-red flames blazed across the blade, scorching the surrounding air until it twisted and warped.
"Interesting. Then let's give it a try."
A thrilled smile curled across Lin Feng's lips. His blood began to boil, and fighting spirit surged through his chest.
"Winged Storm!"
Buvis roared and violently beat his wings. Countless feathers shot toward Lin Feng like bullets.
Every feather was wrapped in Armament Haki and carried astonishing power, as though it could tear everything apart.
Lin Feng drew a deep breath, pushing Sun Breathing within him to its limit. Every cell in his body brimmed with strength.
"Sun Breathing: Eleventh Form, Solar Halo Dragon!"
Lin Feng gave a low shout and swung the Demon God Blade. A golden-red, dragon-shaped slash howled forth and collided with the Winged Storm.
Boom!
A deafening explosion rang out. The powerful shockwave blasted up the surrounding sand, forming a sandstorm.
Most of the feathers were cut down and reduced to ash, but a few still broke through his defense, leaving several wounds across Lin Feng's body.
Blood stained his clothes red, yet Lin Feng did not care in the slightest. Instead, his gaze became even sharper.
Lin Feng lunged forward, transforming into a golden-red dragon's head as he struck straight for Buvis's vital point.
Buvis hurriedly crossed his wings to block, but the slash still struck him, forcing him back several steps and leaving a deep wound across his chest.
Blood streamed down from the wound, staining his purple-black feathers red.
"Hehehe, not bad, not bad. You're qualified to be my opponent."
Buvis licked the blood from the corner of his mouth. A flash of madness crossed his eyes, like a bloodthirsty beast craving even more battle.
"But this still isn't enough!"
Buvis flapped his wings, turning into a streak of purple-black lightning as he shot into the sky. He was so fast that he resembled a meteor tearing across the heavens.
"Awakening: Sky Eagle Execution!"
Buvis's voice descended from high above, carrying madness and bloodlust, as though he intended to destroy everything.
Lin Feng's eyes narrowed. The Demon God Blade in his hand hummed, seemingly answering its master's summons.
Faced with the power of Buvis's attack, Lin Feng's blood began to boil, and fighting spirit surged through his chest.
"Then let's settle this once and for all!"
Lin Feng shouted in a low voice, driving Sun Breathing within him to its limit. Every cell in his body brimmed with strength.
"Sun Breathing: Twelfth Form, Flame Dance!"
Lin Feng gave a low shout. Golden-red flames wrapped around his entire body, making him resemble a blazing sun radiating dazzling light.
He kicked off the ground, shooting into the sky like an arrow loosed from its bow and charging straight toward Buvis.
Their attacks collided in midair, erupting with an ear-splitting explosion.
The powerful shockwave overturned the surrounding desert, creating an enormous crater as though a meteor had crashed down.
Gales howled, and sand filled the sky, blotting out the sun as though the apocalypse had arrived.
Bart and Carl were also caught in the powerful shockwave. They had no choice but to stop fighting and shield their eyes with their hands.
They stared in shock at the two figures clashing in the sky, their hearts filled with awe.
"Th-this is the captain's true strength?"
Bart muttered, his eyes full of reverence and admiration.
Carl was equally stunned. She had never expected this Whitebeard Pirates captain to possess such terrifying power.
It had far exceeded anything she could comprehend.
The merciless desert sun still scorched the earth. The air reeked of gunpowder, and an enormous crater had appeared in the once-flat sand, as though it had been struck by a meteor. The sight was shocking.
Lin Feng stood at the edge of the crater. The red glow on the Demon God Blade in his hand slowly faded, like a burning sunset that had exhausted itself and gradually returned to calm. His gaze remained sharp, like a drawn sword revealing all its edge.
Buvis lay in the crater, his body twisted and deformed. Blood had dyed the surrounding sand red, and his eyes were wide open, filled with unwillingness and shock.
He had never imagined that even after awakening, his power would still prove so utterly insignificant.
Lin Feng looked at Buvis's corpse, a faint smile curling across his lips. There was no pity or sympathy in him. He had never shown mercy to enemies.
"Hmph. Overestimating yourself."
Lin Feng snorted coldly, sheathed the Demon God Blade, and turned toward Bart.
Bart and Carl were locked in an intense battle. Their fists and kicks collided with dull thuds, sending shockwaves rolling through the air and sand flying everywhere.
"Bart, end this fight."
Lin Feng spoke calmly. His voice was not loud, yet it reached Bart's ears clearly.
At his words, excitement flashed through Bart's eyes. He had long wanted to end this boring fight.
"Got it, Captain!"
Bart shouted. The muscles across his body instantly swelled, and Armament Haki covered him from head to toe. Like a steel giant, he sent Carl flying with a single punch.
Carl crashed heavily onto the ground and spat out blood. Her eyes were filled with shock and fear. This seemingly rough man possessed such terrifying strength.
"Y-you... who exactly are you people?"
Carl asked tremblingly, her voice filled with despair.
"Us? We're just travelers passing through."
Lin Feng said with a light laugh, his tone carrying a hint of mockery.
"However, since you wanted to investigate me, you should have prepared to pay the price."
Lin Feng's gaze instantly turned icy. A powerful killing intent erupted and enveloped Carl.
Carl felt the terrifying aura radiating from Lin Feng, and her body trembled even harder. She had truly run into someone she could not afford to provoke this time.
Lin Feng gave Carl no chance at all. He swung his blade and killed her.

A string of system notifications rang out in Lin Feng's mind, leaving him somewhat confused. What was going on? Had it crashed?
"System, is something wrong with you?"
Lin Feng asked inwardly.
[ Ding, the system is operating normally. Please use it without concern ]
Just as Lin Feng was puzzled, another system notification sounded.

"A special reward?"
Lin Feng raised a brow, curiosity flashing through his eyes. This system really knows how to play. It always gives me unexpected surprises.
"Captain, what happened?"
Bart walked over to Lin Feng's side and asked in a rough voice, sounding somewhat confused.
"Nothing. I just got a little bonus."
Lin Feng replied with a smile, his tone relaxed, as if nothing had happened.
"A bonus?"
Bart scratched his head in confusion. He truly could not understand what Lin Feng meant by "bonus."
"All right, Bart. We should go."
Lin Feng patted Bart on the shoulder and turned to walk into the distance.
"Yeah," Bart replied.
The two gradually walked farther away and disappeared into the endless desert, leaving behind only a battlefield in ruins.
