"The Navy's Six Powers really are powerful!"
Lin Feng stood on the deck, feeling the changes in his body, his heart brimming with excitement.
"Soru!"
Lin Feng shouted low, and his figure vanished from where he stood. In the next instant, he had appeared ten meters away.
"Geppo!"
Lin Feng used the skill again, launching himself into the air and moving rapidly through the sky as though he were walking on the moon.
"Rankyaku!"
Lin Feng kicked through the air, and a blue slashing wave shot out, splitting a distant wooden plank in two.
He then used Tekkai and Kami-e in succession, greatly improving both his defense and agility.
"Haha, my strength has gone up by another huge margin!"
Lin Feng laughed excitedly. With the Navy's Six Powers, he was more than twice as strong as before.
Now, he had even more confidence in facing the challenges ahead.
"System, open my status panel."
Lin Feng muttered inwardly.
[Host: Lin Feng] [Slash Points: 84] [Attributes: Strength: 18, Speed: 18, Constitution: 18, Reaction: 12, Perception: 12] [Skills: One-Sword Style: Iai Slash (Proficiency: 50/100), Sun Breathing Technique (Incomplete Version) (Included Skills: First Form: Dance, Second Form: Clear Blue Sky, Third Form: Raging Sun Red Mirror), Navy's Six Powers (Proficiency: 1/100)] [Item: Frostmist (One of the 21 Great Grade Blades)]
"My attributes have improved this much!"
Lin Feng looked at his status panel and nodded in satisfaction.
After several days of frantic training, every one of Lin Feng's attributes had improved tremendously, more than doubling!
"Though I still can't say I can defeat Captain Vista, at least I won't be completely helpless like before!"
Lin Feng gripped Frostmist tightly, his eyes filled with confidence.
"But this still isn't enough. I need more Slash Points so I can learn Haki as soon as possible!"
Lin Feng's gaze fell upon the items in the system shop, his eyes gleaming with desire.
"Slash Points, Slash Points..."
Just as Lin Feng muttered to himself and began considering how to quickly obtain Slash Points,
a system notification suddenly rang in his mind.
[ Ding! Mission issued: Challenge every member of the Whitebeard Pirates! ]
[Mission Requirements: Challenge ordinary crew members, 0/100; second-generation crew members, 0/30; commander-level crew members, 0/3; captain: 0/1.]
[Mission Reward: Rewards will be issued according to the challenge results. Maximum reward: 100,000 Slash Points!]
Lin Feng froze. This mission was really thrilling!
"This is a great opportunity!"
Excitement flashed through Lin Feng's eyes. This was much faster than swinging his sword around by himself.
"Still, with my current strength, challenging everyone will be difficult."
Lin Feng stroked his chin and began thinking. Then his eyes rolled, and he headed toward the cabin where Whitebeard was.
"Old man! I have something I want to discuss with you."
Lin Feng pushed open the cabin door and walked inside.
"Oh? What is it, kid?"
Whitebeard was sitting in a chair drinking when he saw Lin Feng enter and asked with a smile.
"I want to challenge everyone in the Whitebeard Pirates!"
Lin Feng dropped the bombshell and stated his purpose outright.
"Cough, cough..."
Whitebeard choked on his drink and began coughing. His eyes widened as he stared at Lin Feng as if looking at a monster.
"Kid, do you have a fever?"
Whitebeard set down his sake barrel and asked with a puzzled expression.
"I don't have a fever. I'm serious!"
Lin Feng said with a solemn expression.
"I want to improve my strength through battle!"
"Gurararara! Interesting!"
Whitebeard burst into laughter, his eyes full of approval as he looked at Lin Feng.
"You really have guts, kid!"
"But are you sure you want to challenge everyone?"
"Of course." Lin Feng nodded without the slightest hesitation, his tone firm and decisive.
"Fine! I approve!"
Whitebeard slammed his palm onto the table, producing a deafening boom like thunder.
"But I get to arrange the order of the challenges." His tone allowed no argument.
"No problem."
Lin Feng agreed immediately and cleanly, without a shred of hesitation.
"Gurararara!"
Whitebeard laughed again, his bold laughter making his admiration for Lin Feng obvious.
"Kid, you actually mastered the Navy's Six Powers?" His tone abruptly shifted, becoming probing.
"Doesn't that just prove I'm exceptionally talented?"
The corner of Lin Feng's mouth curled up, carrying the confidence unique to youth.
"A few days ago, I exchanged blows with the Navy. I happened to catch a glimpse of it, imitated it a little, and understood it."
Lin Feng spoke casually, as if he had merely done something insignificant.
"Gurararara!"
Whitebeard spoke meaningfully, his deep voice seeming to recall the past.
"Kid, you really do resemble an old acquaintance of mine in some ways."
"Marco."
Whitebeard turned his head and ordered, "Go make the arrangements. Tell those brats to get ready, so they don't lose too badly later."
"Understood, Pops." Marco nodded and swiftly turned to leave.
"Kid, don't disappoint me."
Whitebeard watched Lin Feng, his gaze full of anticipation.
"Don't worry, old man."
Lin Feng smiled confidently. "I'll definitely give you a huge surprise."
Before long, news that Lin Feng intended to challenge the pirate crew's members spread through a small circle.
"What? Lin Feng wants to challenge us?"
"What arrogance!"
"Haha, this is going to be entertaining!"
Among the crowd, one figure stood out sharply. His face was dark, his fists clenched so tightly that his nails nearly dug into his flesh.
"Damn it, that bastard!" he gritted out in a low voice, as though forcing the words from the depths of his throat. "He's just a newcomer. What gives him the right to be so arrogant?"
"Big Brother Bass, you have to teach that arrogant brat a proper lesson!" a lackey beside him echoed, his tone full of flattery.
Bass was a second-generation member of the Whitebeard Pirates with considerable strength. Usually, he relied on his seniority to throw his weight around aboard the ship. Now that a newcomer had stolen his thunder, he was already burning with rage.
"Hmph, you don't need to tell me that!"
Bass snorted coldly and turned away, leaving behind a sinister silhouette.
He strode toward the training ground, every step making the deck thump.
The Moby Dick was bustling with activity.
Lin Feng stood in the middle of the deck, sea wind blowing through his black hair.
"Lin Feng, you really know how to stir things up!"
Vista walked over and patted Lin Feng on the shoulder.
"Challenge everyone? Have you really thought this through? None of us are pushovers!"
Vista warned him.
"Of course. I've already discussed it with the old man."
Lin Feng answered with a smile.
"You really are bold, kid."
Vista laughed.
"Don't worry, Vista. I'll show all of you what I'm capable of!"
Lin Feng said confidently.
The next day, a large number of pirates gathered on the deck of the Moby Dick.
They had all come to watch Lin Feng's challenge.
"Lin Feng, this is the challenge order Pops arranged."
Marco handed Lin Feng a list.
"You'll start by challenging ordinary members, then elite members, and only then the commanders."
"Oh?"
Lin Feng took the list and glanced at it.
"Fine, I'll start with them!"
Lin Feng nodded and put away the list.
"Go, Lin Feng!"
"Kid, don't lose too badly!"
"Haha, show them what you've got!"
The pirates cheered Lin Feng on.
"I will!"
Lin Feng smiled and walked toward the crowd.
"Who's first?"
Lin Feng stood in the middle of the deck and called out loudly.
"I am!"
A burly pirate stepped forward, a long saber in his hand.
"I'm Barr. I'll be your first opponent!"
"Good. Then come on!"
Lin Feng drew Frostmist and assumed a fighting stance.
"Kid, I admit you have some skill, but don't underestimate us."
Barr roared and charged at Lin Feng while swinging his saber.
"Sun Breathing: First Form: Dance!"
Lin Feng shouted low, Frostmist becoming a streak of cold light as it met Barr's slash.
"Clang!"
Their blades collided with a crisp metallic ring.
"You've got decent strength!"
Lin Feng smiled, his sword momentum unceasing as he continued his assault.
"Sun Breathing: Second Form: Clear Blue Sky!"
"Sun Breathing: Third Form: Raging Sun Red Mirror!"
Lin Feng continuously unleashed the forms of Sun Breathing, his blade light icy and fierce as he launched a relentless assault on Barr.
"Damn it!"
Barr was forced back again and again by Lin Feng's fierce swordsmanship. He had not expected Lin Feng to be this strong.
"Soru!"
Lin Feng suddenly used Soru, vanishing from where he stood. In the next instant, he appeared behind Barr.
"One-Sword Style: Iai Slash!"
Frostmist flew from its sheath at incredible speed, slashing toward Barr's back.
"Splat!"
A deep wound opened across Barr's back, and blood sprayed out.
"Argh!"
Barr screamed. His saber flew from his hand as his entire body pitched forward onto the deck.
"You let me win."
Lin Feng spoke calmly as he slowly sheathed Frostmist. His voice was not loud, yet everyone heard it clearly.
[ Ding! Challenge mission completed. Reward: 100 Slash Points. ]
The system notification rang in his mind. Lin Feng's heart began racing, and indescribable joy surged through him.
That was 100 Slash Points!
"An ordinary crew member rewards 100 points. Then how many will second-generation members and commanders give?"
Anticipation rose in Lin Feng's heart.
