Don't Be Afraid

Adams had been at sea for two years. Aside from seeing Swain's face on wanted posters, this was his first time meeting him in person.

For a moment, he was actually a little flustered.

Unable to contain his excitement, he tried to get up from the ground, but his injuries were far too severe. He could barely support himself with his hands.

Seeing this, Swain used seawater to lift him aside, placing him together with the baby.

Then he turned a cold gaze on Saint Saturn. "You filthy spider, you really know how to pick your timing."

"Looks like last time's lesson wasn't enough. You came knocking just to get beaten again, didn't you?!"

Adams was startled. He had not participated in the previous attack on the Holy Land; by the time he returned, the main force had already set out.

Even when he asked afterward, he had not learned much. Only today did he find out that Swain had fought the Five Elders, the highest authority in the world!

And it seemed Saint Saturn had even suffered at Swain's hands?

When he had fought one of the Five Elders, he had felt an overwhelming sense that the enemy could not be defeated, a crushing helplessness.

The thought that his idol could stand toe-to-toe with someone like that thrilled him. It was even more exhilarating than defeating Saint Saturn himself.

Suppressing the pain from his injuries, he soothed the baby before sitting cross-legged and watching the battle intently.

His eyes remained fixed on Swain's every movement.

A Sea Gate stood before Swain. Conqueror's Haki erupted from his body, thunder rumbling through the sky as black lightning crashed down.

Even from so far away, Adams's heart trembled at the intimidating aura, though the Haki was not directed at him.
