"What was going on? Why was I back here again?!" Gray said in shock, unable to move in any direction.
"You did this!" Gray said as he looked at Swain, who was smiling at him.
Onigumo was also filled with uncertainty when he saw this scene and asked:
"Are you a Devil Fruit user?"
Swain did not bother concealing it. The Marines would find out sooner or later anyway.
"I ate the Sea Fruit," he said.
"The Sea Fruit?!" Gray cried out.
He served the Vinsmoke Family. As the chief steward of the family that ruled the North Blue, he naturally knew certain secrets.
The Sea Fruit possessed the power to overturn the seas.
It was said that the previous user of this fruit had once intended to use seawater to wash away the entire Red Line and reconnect this world as one.
As one of this world's defining features, the Red Line split the sea in two.
At the same time, Pangaea Castle above the Red Line was where the "gods" of this world resided. Destroying the Red Line naturally meant opposing the World Government.
As for what ultimately happened to that ruthless person, history recorded nothing.
"Brat..." Onigumo muttered.
Then all the arms on his back spread out. He was finally getting serious!
"Life Return!"
Including the two swords in his hands, there were eight blades in total, dazzling Swain's eyes.
"Are you here to perform acrobatics?" Swain asked.
Onigumo did not respond. With a grim expression, he swung his arms.
The blades gleamed, their sharpness tearing through Kong again and again. It was a true storm of flashing blades!
Swain coated his hands in Armament Haki and swiftly blocked each slash.
Onigumo grew fiercer as the battle continued, but even so, he still found it difficult to hurt Swain.
Seizing an opening, Swain grabbed the two blades in front of him and flipped backward. His tremendous strength dragged Onigumo's body along with him.
While Onigumo was still dizzy and disoriented, Swain swept out with another kick, striking him squarely in the forehead and sending him flying once more.
"Sea Tentacle Kill!"
Black tentacles pierced through his chest, making him cough up blood repeatedly in a miserable state.
The immense force sent him crashing through several buildings before he finally came to a stop.
"You're no match for me," Swain said.
Onigumo staggered out of the rubble. This time, however, he covered his entire body in Armament Haki.
"Damn it! You cursed brat," he cursed.
At that moment, he transformed into a giant spider.
This was the Zoan Fruit's full form. The spider's body was pitch-black, and its slender legs stood three meters tall, as powerful as stone pillars. Yet unlike a real spider, his face remained unchanged.
"Turning into a giant bug?"
"But it won't change anything!"
"You'll find out if you try."
Onigumo raised a leg and stomped down. Swain flashed aside, and with a bang, a deep crater was left where he had stood.
His body had grown larger, but his speed was not particularly fast.
Swain knew where his advantage lay. He clenched his right hand, drew it back, and threw a punch at Onigumo's head.
Yet it only forced him back several steps.
"His full form really is much stronger," Swain commented.
When Onigumo saw Swain hovering above Kong, he seized the chance to attack. One of his legs transformed into an arm, gripping a sword hilt coated in Armament Haki as it slashed toward Swain.
Swain sensed the danger and turned elemental in advance, avoiding the attack.
His Observation Haki far surpassed Onigumo's!
Swain immediately counterattacked, extending his palm toward Onigumo.
"Sea Bind!" Several chains appeared beneath Onigumo's feet, formed from seawater hardened with Armament Haki.
Onigumo hurriedly stomped several of them apart, but he was still bound. In an instant, he felt half the strength in his body drain away.
Several of his sharp spider legs had already transformed back into arms, creating a rather bizarre appearance.
"What is going on? Why do I feel so weak?"
he said in a deep voice.
But what came next was Swain's fierce attack.
Swain stood above Kong with his right arm extended. A ten-meter-long hammer gradually formed along his right arm.
"Armament!"
Within a few breaths, the hammer condensed from seawater had turned jet-black.
Onigumo, still struggling, was filled with fear when he saw this. If that thing hit him, even if it did not kill him, it would strip him of half his skin.
"Shoot him! Now!" Onigumo ordered the distant Marines.
He was clearly beginning to panic.
The Marines who had been watching the show received their superior's command and opened fire on Swain.
But they were merely wasting bullets. They had not trained in Haki, so they posed no threat to Swain whatsoever.
Swain still raised the hammer above his head and brought it down in one blow.
Onigumo immediately let out a scream, though he suffered only superficial wounds.
"These Zoan Fruit users really are tough," Swain complained.
Then he pointed a finger. A ring appeared around Onigumo, and seawater began filling it. In less than a few seconds, it had risen to Onigumo's head.
Once a Devil Fruit user fell into seawater, all their abilities were nullified. He had become an ordinary person.
Swain clenched his right hand and shrank the ring, trapping Onigumo inside while leaving only his head exposed.
The seawater coated in Armament Haki was as solid as cement, leaving him unable to move!
"Can you behave now?" Swain asked calmly.
"Damn it!" Onigumo could not muster any strength and could only move his mouth.
Gray, who was also bound, had completely given up any hope of escape after seeing this.
After all, even Onigumo had fallen into Swain's hands.
When the Lunarian Tribe youth saw Swain's overwhelming strength, his eyes filled with envy and admiration as well.
"I will never submit to you," Onigumo said stubbornly.
"I know. Hand over the Devil Fruit you got at the auction, and I can spare your life!"
"Ah! Hahahaha!" Onigumo burst into laughter.
"You think I'll hand it over? Keep dreaming!"
He continued to shout defiantly.
Swain did not waste words with him. "Then die!"
He had not the slightest tolerance for enemies.
"Sea Tentacle Kill!"
This time, he condensed even more tentacles than before. This move resembled Doflamingo's God Thread—both used the same kind of tentacles.
Just as Swain was about to kill Onigumo,
several dangerous slashes came from behind him.
He hurriedly redirected the tentacles, sending them colliding with those slashes.
After the techniques clashed, the tentacles were dispersed into seawater.
"Young man, don't be so murderous!"
At that moment, a Marine with a long, narrow face, a thin mustache, and a Justice cape stepped out.
"Vice Admiral Momonga?" Swain asked doubtfully.
The newcomer was Vice Admiral Momonga, who had come to rendezvous with Onigumo.
The Marines had also taken the news of the Lunarian Tribe seriously enough to dispatch two of Marine Headquarters' strongest vice admirals.
After receiving the Marines' distress signal, he had rushed over without stopping. He had not expected to save his comrade as well!
"I didn't expect you to recognize me," Momonga said with a stern expression.
Any youth capable of beating Onigumo into such a sorry state was extremely dangerous! That was his first impression.
"I suggest you show some sense. Opposing the Marines will not end well!"
"End well?" Swain chuckled. "Haven't pirates and Marines always stood against each other?"
"You're a pirate? I've never heard of a rookie pirate like you in the South Blue," Momonga said.
Marine Headquarters possessed wanted posters for every powerful pirate. But among the rookies he knew, there were not many pirates who could easily defeat one of Headquarters' strongest vice admirals. Swain was not among them.
"I just set sail," Swain answered, clearing up his doubt.
Only then did Momonga understand.
"With strength like yours, why not join the Marines?" He could not help feeling regretful.
Why were powerful young people always willing to become pirates instead of Marines? He had always been puzzled by that!
"That has nothing to do with you," Swain said indifferently.
In his eyes, unless an admiral came personally, no vice admiral could restrain him.
Of course, Garp was an exception!
