King of the Deep

"You're saying there's a terrifying monster beneath the seafloor?" Swain asked curiously.

"Yes." Poseidon nodded solemnly. "If you lower your guard toward me, I can share what I see with you."

"All right." Swain lowered his guard.

If Poseidon wanted to take over his body, he clearly couldn't do it under the current circumstances. Otherwise, Swain's consciousness would have been eroded long ago.

Besides, if Swain hadn't insisted on going down there, Poseidon probably wouldn't have appeared at all.

He just wanted to know how many monsters in this world he still knew nothing about.

A warm current flowed through his eyes, and they flashed with light.

An enormous monster lay asleep in the deepest part of the ocean. Its vast body resembled an endless mountain range of darkness, radiating suffocating pressure.

Its shape was blurred and twisted, as though countless mangled lumps of flesh and hideous bones had been thrown together at random.

The monster's rough skin was covered in strange markings that glimmered dark red, like cursed runes. Its massive, misshapen head bore several blood-red eyes, sunken deep into its ghastly face like bottomless pits of blood. Even in sleep, they held a terrifying gleam.

Huge fangs jutted from its mouth, as though they could easily tear apart any living thing that dared come close.

Its limbs were thick and twisted, covered in sharp bone spurs, each as keen as a sword and seemingly ready to pierce anything that trespassed on its territory. Countless black tendrils, reeking of decay, coiled around its body and swayed slowly in the seawater like a demon's hair.

Crystals crisscrossed the seabed, but against the monster's looming form, even they seemed cursed. Their eerie glow joined the creature in making this stretch of deep sea feel like the most evil and terrifying place
