"Who are you?"

Buggy watched the woman before him with a guarded expression.

"My name is Alvida."

The woman took off the sunhat she was wearing, letting her long, jet-black wavy hair cascade down her back, and her red lips curved upward slightly; even Buggy, who had no interest in female beauty, thought this woman looked exceptionally gorgeous at the moment.

"Alvida... Somehow I feel like I've heard that name before."

Buggy frowned, resting his chin in his hand as he searched his memory for this person.

"Captain, it's Iron Mace Alvida, that particularly ugly female pirate,"

Mohji reminded him in a low voice from the side.

"Nonsense, I'm not blind! That woman Alvida was drop-dead ugly, how could she possibly be this great beauty right in front of us?!"

Buggy instinctively retorted.

He had seen Alvida a few times before, and that woman always considered herself the most beautiful woman in the seas.

Yet she was covered in freckles, built like a pig, and extremely hideous to boot.

"That's me."

The stunning woman parted her red lips slightly and spoke in a soft voice.

She had indeed looked like that originally, but after being defeated by Luffy, she happened to acquire the Sube Sube no Mi, a Devil Fruit, and after eating it, the skin all over her body became incomparably smooth.

Any object that made contact with her skin would simply slide right off.

"What! You—you—you! How did you end up looking like this?!"

Buggy stepped back a few paces, appearing utterly incredulous.

"I just ate a Devil Fruit, that's all. I heard you're going after Straw Hat Luffy?"

Alvida did not want to continue discussing this matter, and besides, she had appeared for Luffy's sake, not to explain to someone how she had managed to get so thin.

"Yeah, Straw Hat Boy offended me, there's no way I'm letting him go. What, do you have a grudge against him too?"

Buggy raised an eyebrow, looking at Alvida with a teasing expression.

Was this woman looking to form an alliance, or did she want to use his hands to get rid of Luffy? Either way, he, Buggy, was not someone to be used for free.

"Luffy defeated me before and humiliated me in every possible way. I've come this time to get my revenge on him as well."

Alvida said with bitter hatred, her stunning face twisting somewhat for a moment.

When she learned that Luffy had become a pirate with a thirty-million-belly bounty, she felt even more incensed, which was why she had chased him all the way here.

"Let's form an alliance. Straw Hat Luffy and his crewmates are quite cunning; if the two of us team up, capturing him shouldn't be too difficult."

Alvida looked at Buggy with absolute conviction, knowing he had no reason to refuse.

No matter what, she was determined to make Straw Hat Luffy pay.

To exact revenge on Luffy, Alvida had even abandoned her own pirate ship.

The two of them shook hands, sealing their partnership.

"Oh right, once we finish off Luffy, there's still one more person I need to teach a lesson."

"What's wrong, someone else offended you?"

"Yes! That person is even more hateful, I have to capture him alive! I'll make him taste the price of toying with me, Lord Buggy!"

Buggy clenched his fists; just thinking about that silver-haired brat made his teeth itch with hatred!

"Fine, once we take care of Straw Hat Luffy, I'll help you catch that guy too. Is he on this island as well?"

"I came here together with them."

Hearing this, Alvida glanced at Buggy with a hint of oddness, though she kept the question in her heart unasked.

Better to find Straw Hat Luffy first.

"Do you know where that Straw Hat Boy is right now?"

Buggy finally snapped back to his senses, realizing he still didn't know where Luffy was.

"I heard he headed toward the execution platform. You'd better be careful—there's a Marine colonel named Smoker who's pretty strong; he's already captured quite a few pirates on this island."

At the mention of Smoker, a flash of deep wariness crossed Alvida's eyes.

She had zero desire to cross paths with a man like Smoker!

When Alvida had arrived on this island, she had already heard plenty of stories about Smoker.

He was truly a god of slaughter among the Marines.

Hardly any pirate managed to escape from his hands.

"I know, but catching me, Big Bro Buggy, is definitely not going to be an easy task."

Buggy burst into loud laughter, paying Smoker no mind whatsoever.

Though it wouldn't be long before Smoker left an indelible impression on Buggy.

"Lads, set sail! We're going to go capture Luffy right now!"

"Yeah!"

Moyun's group, on the other hand, was in no rush to head to the execution platform.

After all, he understood Luffy better than anyone, and right now Luffy definitely hadn't figured out where the execution platform was.

So they still had some time to stroll around the town.

"Kuina, there's a sword shop over here, let's go check it out."

There was a sword in that shop that suited Kuina quite well.

In the original story of Pirate King, it was taken by Zoro.

They had to beat Zoro to it this time!

He couldn't handle Sandai Kitetsu, but Yubashiri would do just fine!

Moyun didn't feel like there was anything wrong with this.

Anyway, Zoro had already taken Kuina's Wado Ichimonji, so taking a Yubashiri himself wasn't asking too much, right?

The group hurried over to the weapon shop, where there were still very few people inside.

Whew, it hasn't been taken yet, has it? But that should be impossible; Tashigi will be showing up here soon too, so she ought to end up getting into a dispute with Zoro right here.

Moyun muttered to himself.

Kuina, at his side, had already taken the initiative to start observing.

The shop was lined with all sorts of samurai swords, leaving her somewhat dazzled.

Kuina spotted a sword hanging on the wall and couldn't help expressing her admiration.

The shopkeeper was a shrewd man.

Though swordsmanship didn't rely on the weight of the blade, a swordsman still needed something that felt natural and comfortable to wield.

"Then would you like to take a look at these?"

The shopkeeper rubbed his hands together, hoping Kuina would take a fancy to something expensive in their shop so he could make a killing.

After walking around the shop and taking a look, Kuina felt somewhat disappointed.

Out of so many swords, there wasn't a single one that suited her!

"What's wrong, is there nothing here?"

Moyun frowned. That shouldn't be right—did the store owner not put Yubashiri out on display?

He didn't know what Yubashiri actually looked like, but judging by Kuina's reaction, it seemed like none of the swords laid out in the shop suited her.

"Boss, do you have any other swords around here?"

"Well, we do, it's just..."

"Just bring them out! Bring out your prized store treasures!"

It was a chance to let him see what the legendary Yubashiri actually looked like.
