Dragon's Fruit

Blow, wind! The storm of destiny is coming!

A flash of lightning struck, and in the fleeting glare, strange patterns were visible on that man's face.

Even Moyun felt somewhat excited at this moment; he had finally laid eyes on a mysterious big shot of this world. If he had a mobile phone, he definitely would have taken a selfie with him!

Happiness really didn't get better than this.

Kuina didn't understand why Moyun was getting so worked up. Wasn't that just an utterly ordinary-looking man?

When Olvia saw Dragon, her pupils shrank sharply.

How could this man appear here, and how could he show up so easily!

And the Marines were present here, of all places!

"You know him?"

Moyun noticed that Olvia's emotions were a bit off, so he curiously asked a question.

Olvia simply swallowed hard, then nodded.

Moyun gave Olvia a rather surprised look.

To think she even knew Dragon!

"I don't know why he came here, or what his purpose is, but this man is very strong."

"That kid wearing the straw hat is his son; he must be here to see him off."

Moyun said calmly.

"What? This man has a son!"

Olvia cried out somewhat losing her composure. What kind of woman could possibly have given birth to this man's child!

It wasn't that Olvia harbored any particular feelings for Dragon, but rather that in her impression, this man was simply too strong—he had been that way twenty years ago!

"Why do you look so surprised?"

Moyun suddenly had a bad suspicion.

Good grief, could this be some kind of hidden plotline?

The untold story between Monkey D. Dragon and Olvia?

"What kind of look is that? I was just saved by him a few times back then, that's all."

Olvia said with a hint of nostalgia.

That Buster Call back in the day had actually been premeditated. Before it happened, the Marines had secretly sent people to try and kill them several times.

She had been lucky enough to be rescued by Dragon.

Right up until the very last time, when she refused to heed Dragon's advice and resolutely went back.

"I see. Well, then, are you two going to catch up!"

Moyun cast a calm glance at Olvia.

In his heart, he desperately hoped Olvia would go find Dragon.

Whether Dragon was a Devil Fruit user in Pirate King, and what kind of fruit he had, had always been an enigma!

Olvia merely shook her head. "I think I'll pass."

It was better for as few people as possible to know that she had been resurrected.

It would also spare Moyun from bringing fatal disaster upon himself.

"True enough. You guys go back to the ship first; if there's anything else you need to buy, go ahead and get it. I'm going on ahead."

Moyun waved at the group. He had just spotted Smoker heading in Luffy's direction.

The popcorn-munching spectator logged on!

"Hey! Be careful!"

Olvia called out somewhat worriedly as she watched Moyun's departing back.

Whatever, they didn't have anything else to buy anyway.

Ingredients and such had already been purchased earlier.

She'd better hurry back to the ship.

Over here, Smoker was pressing the attack relentlessly against Luffy, the two of them locked in a fierce, evenly matched battle.

However, Smoker naturally still possessed a Logia fruit, while Luffy had yet to master the power of Haki at this point in time, so he was naturally suppressed by Smoker.

"What's going on? This is so gross!"

No matter how Luffy attacked Smoker, he simply passed right through his smoke-transformed body.

"Do you understand now? How do you expect to enter the Grand Line like this! Your destiny ends right here!"

"That's not necessarily true."

A man wearing a green cloak appeared behind Smoker and grabbed Smoker's arm in a single grip.

It was happening, it was actually happening!

Moyun, watching from the rooftop, stood up in excitement, causing the popcorn in his hand to spill all over the roof.

Suddenly, a violent gale whipped up, blowing Smoker away, and Luffy seized the opportunity to escape.

"Now that's a legendary scene! Luffy is finally going to advance toward the Grand Line. I can't afford to fall behind either!"

Moyun stood up as the black orb in his hand emitted a black radiance.

Suddenly, he felt a gaze turn and fixate upon him.

Their eyes met, and just as Moyun wanted to say something, he was teleported away by a black hole.

"An interesting brat."

Dragon muttered quietly to himself, then looked toward the distant ship sailing further and further away, a wild and arrogant smile blooming on his face.

The times were about to change!

"You're back."

Moyun had already returned to the ship, his face still lingering with a sense of unfulfillment.

"Hey, I think I might have guessed what kind of fruit Dragon has."

"What fruit?"

Olvia acutely caught onto the word "Dragon"; she raised her head and looked inquiringly at Moyun.

"Dragon is a Devil Fruit user, did you know that?"

"Not really. Anyway, I never saw him use any abilities twenty years ago."

Hearing this, Moyun curled his lip.

Big deal, and here he thought Olvia would actually know something.

Oh well, he wouldn't think about Dragon's matters for now; he wouldn't run into him again anyway.

The Revolutionary Army wanted to save the world, while he only wanted to uncover the history of that lost century. Their interests didn't conflict, but they didn't mutually benefit either, so they probably wouldn't cross paths in the future.

Little did Moyun know that his ties with the Revolutionary Army were only just beginning.

"Where are we heading next?"

Kuina meticulously wiped Yubashiri with a cloth, growing rather eager to practice her sword techniques.

Ideally, she wanted someone to fight her right this instant.

If it were Moyun, though, she'd pass—his moves were far too bizarre.

If they actually fought, her strength wouldn't improve much, but her temper would probably flare quite a bit.

"We're going straight to Reverse Mountain to enter the Grand Line."

Moyun guessed that Luffy would encounter a young girl named Apis along the way, and then divert to Warship Island.

Therefore, they should reach the Grand Line before Luffy did.

"Where did you put your notes on the Grand Line? Where are we supposed to look?"

"On Chaos Island."

That was a very strange island. Because it was uninhabited and located right after the starting island, Olvia had also stored a copy there.

"Chaos Island sounds interesting. Let's take that route, then."

Moyun pulled a Log Pose out of his pocket that he had prepared long in advance. This was the pointer for the Chaos Island route, though it unfortunately meant he wouldn't be able to cross paths with Luffy in the short term.

He also had to keep an eye on the timing.

Moyun wanted to recruit Ace into his crew.

So when the time came, he would have to see whether he should directly prevent Akainu from killing Ace, or resurrect him afterward.

If possible, he might as well resurrect Whitebeard too; that way, his pirate crew could become even stronger.

Though he could only resurrect people whose strength was lower than his own, which made things a bit tricky.

"I still need to hurry up and build up my own strength!"
