Molly gently pushed the plane into the nearby plaza. It settled firmly on the ground without cracking a single paving stone.
The passengers were still shaken, but through the windows, they could see the silver-white figure who had stopped the plane.
Once that was done, Molly whipped her head around. Her gaze, sharp as a sword, pierced the dark corner at the end of the street.
An aura she utterly despised stirred there.
It carried the mingled stench of disguise, blood, and miasma.
Without magic, she had been unable to sense it before. But with Little Mo's power bolstering her, the aura stood out like a fire in the night, glaring and sickening.
"Found you!"
Molly's voice was cool, carrying an authority that brooked no argument.
Before the words had faded, her body turned into a streak of silver light and shot to that corner.
The shadows were torn apart, exposing the Mimic Demon's terrified face to the sunlight.
He was still wearing a silver-white magical outfit identical to Molly's, but fear had twisted his face. He could no longer imitate even a trace of Pale's cool composure.
"H-how did you find me?"
The Mimic Demon trembled all over, his voice shaking.
He could not understand it. His disguise had been flawless, so how had she seen through it in an instant?
Molly did not answer. Gripping her Broken Sword, she advanced one step at a time.
Sword Intent flowed along its edge, giving off a faint white glow.
If she wished, she could cut this impostor in two in the next instant.
Terrified out of his wits, the Mimic Demon retreated again and again.
Just then, Little Mo's weak voice sounded in Molly's mind:
"Master... I... I'm sleepy... I need to rest..."
As her voice faded, Little Mo's presence vanished from Molly's consciousness.
At the same time, a crushing weakness swept through Molly's body like a tide.
The power that had surged inside her rapidly drained away.
Her limbs, brimming with strength a moment ago, suddenly felt hollow.
She could clearly feel that she had only fifty percent of the strength she'd had before Little Mo possessed her!
Even the hand holding her sword trembled slightly.
"What's going on?" Molly frowned, her heart sinking.
The Mimic Demon keenly sensed that something was wrong with her, too.
He saw her face turn pale and her aura weaken. A flash of wild delight crossed his eyes.
"Hahaha! So that's it!"
The Mimic Demon grinned viciously.
"You used a forbidden technique just now, didn't you? You forced your power higher, and now you're paying the price!"
His fear vanished, replaced by greed and murderous intent.
"Luck is on my side!" The Mimic Demon pulled out a black statue.
Pitch-black and covered in twisted tentacles, it radiated dense miasma.
It was a statue of the Tentacle Demon God!
"Come forth, my servants!"
The Mimic Demon raised the statue high and shouted.
Purple-black light erupted from it, engulfing the entire corner.
Dozens of dark figures burst from the light. When they landed, they became monsters more than two meters tall.
Slippery tentacles covered their bodies, and their heads resembled giant octopuses. Pairs of scarlet eyes fixed on Molly as they made guttural, rasping cries.
[Monster Demon: Elite Tentacle Monster Servant] [Level: 15]
Thirty of them!
The Mimic Demon looked at his army of Tentacle Monsters and laughed triumphantly.
"Magical Girl Pale! Do you still think you can beat me? Today, you die!"
Molly looked at the thirty elite Tentacle Monsters, then at the smug Mimic Demon. A scornful smile curled her lips.
Even at half strength, I can handle this trash with ease!
"You're asking for it!"
Molly gave a low shout and flashed into the swarm like a phantom.
Her Broken Sword swept through the air, Sword Intent surging with every strike.
Slash!
White light flashed. Before the two Tentacle Monsters at the front could react, her sword light cut them in half.
Purple-black blood sprayed onto the ground, hissing as it ate into the stone.
"Kill her! Kill her!" the Mimic Demon roared.
The remaining Tentacle Monsters charged wildly, countless tentacles snaking toward Molly.
Her eyes cold, Molly wove lightly between them.
Her sword moved like lightning, every strike finding a vital point.
She drove the Warrior's Breathing Technique to its limit. Though her strength had fallen, each breath still restored her stamina quickly.
Her Fifth-Tier Basic Swordsmanship, combined with her developing Sword Intent, made every strike far more powerful.
Sword light flashed as screams rang out one after another!
Tentacle Monsters collapsed, dissolving into purple-black smoke.
In moments, Molly had killed more than half of the thirty elite Tentacle Monsters.
The Mimic Demon's smug expression gave way to shock.
"How is this possible?! Isn't she weakened? How is she still so strong?!"
He could not believe his eyes.
Each of those elite Tentacle Monsters could easily crush a dozen grown men, yet before Molly, they were as fragile as paper!
"Damn it!" The Mimic Demon gritted his teeth, drew a sharp Broken Sword, and joined the fight.
He moved quickly. With its blade steeped in miasma, he swung it hard at Molly's back.
"Hmph!"
Molly had been ready for him. Without looking back, she swung her sword behind her.
Clang!
The two Broken Swords collided, one righteous and one wicked, with a sharp ring!
A tremendous force traveled through the hilt into the Mimic Demon's hand, splitting the web between his thumb and forefinger and driving him back several steps.
Molly seized the opening, turned, and swept her sword across him.
Slice!
Sword light severed one of the Mimic Demon's arms. It fell to the ground and dissolved into black smoke.
"Aah! My arm!" The Mimic Demon screamed, his face white as paper.
He watched Molly advance, terror filling his eyes.
If this goes on, I'm dead!
"You made me do this! You made me do this!"
Half-mad, the Mimic Demon pulled out the statue of the Tentacle Demon God again and poured all the magic in his body into it.
