Where no one could see, Rinne's gaze grew serious. After giving it some long, careful thought (not really), realization dawned on her.

Huanyue... could she have become this strange because I kept using my ability?

I should take responsibility.

The silver-haired girl before her smiled, her eyes curving into crescents, and Rinne's heart wavered along with them.

"Rinne, Rinne~"

She had disrupted Huanyue's memories several times, and there was no telling what unexpected effects that might have caused. Had Eden failed to reset completely? Whatever the reason, Rinne ought to help stabilize her.

"Yes, I'm here. What can I help you with, Huanyue-chan?"

Qian Huanyue smiled and waved a hand at that. "I haven't decided—"

Taking in Rinne's surprised expression, Qian Huanyue clasped her hands behind her back and leaned a little closer.

"So could you tell me more? How did I get along with you and everyone else before I lost my memories?"

Rinne froze for a moment, then beckoned Huanyue to sit in the chair beside her. First, she rested her chin on her hand, then turned a gentle gaze toward the others.

"Well... I probably can't fill in all your impressions by myself, Huanyue."

Qian Huanyue was the sort of person who stood out wherever she went. Although Rinne's "past" with everyone else had been added on the fly within Eden, those memories genuinely existed in her mind.

"How about asking everyone else too?" Rinne suggested with a smile.

"Okay~" Qian Huanyue raised her hand like an elementary school student and eagerly agreed.

"Ohhh—" Huanyue drew out the sound as though she had heard something fascinating, her smile bright and sunny. "Was I really that amazing?"
