None of them had expected a fight between two evenly matched opponents to end in the blink of an eye. They had been certain that the only ones who would die were Konoha's three brats.
The outcome had come so quickly. With the enemy Chunin dealt with, the remaining three Genin were soon subdued.
They pulled off the captives' disguises, revealing four faces none of them recognized.
"You'd better tell us where you're from. Otherwise, I'll have to take you back to Konoha. You've heard of the Interrogation Departments in the Great Ninja Villages, haven't you?" Kazawa said coldly.
The three ninja were unmoved. One of them said, "We were ready to die from the day we began this mission. If you think you'll get our origins out of us, you're dreaming."
Kazawa knew this would be difficult. The Shinobi World had no shortage of people who refused to break. Ninja often valued honor and bonds more than their own lives.
"Search them. We might find something useful," Ueyama Tomo said.
The three captives turned to look at Ueyama Tomo as though he were an idiot. Any ninja knew better than to carry important intelligence. Even students who had just entered ninja academies in the Five Great Nations knew that much.
Perhaps realizing how foolish his suggestion had been, Ueyama Tomo stepped aside.
"Fū, doesn't your Sharingan have hypnotic abilities?" Kazawa asked. "Try it on them and see if it works."
