In the courtyard of Uchiha Chōnan's home, Fugaku checked every room. Chōnan's father was out, probably on duty with the Security Force.
As for Chōnan's mother, she was an ordinary clan member who had never awakened the Sharingan. She spent her days tending to the house.
Fugaku slipped into the bedroom and reached out. He lifted Uchiha Chōnan's eyelids, and his Mangekyo Sharingan slowly turned, filling Chōnan's vision.
In Uchiha Chōnan's dream, the scene before him flickered, and he was a child again.
The change in his surroundings gave Uchiha Chōnan no pause. In a dream, no scene seemed strange to the dreamer; even memories that might contradict it were shut away.
A tall figure appeared before Uchiha Chōnan. It was Uchiha Chōshima.
"Brother, do you have time to train me today?"
Chōshima wore his usual smile. "I've finished today's mission. I can teach you to throw shuriken."
Chōnan was delighted to hear it.
