The Bodies Were Destroyed and All Traces Erased

Uchiha Hitoshi confirmed that Yūhi Eikō was dead and said, "The old man really was troublesome. If Fugaku hadn't handled it himself this time, our target might have escaped. Killing him would've been even more difficult then."

"We really were careless this time. If he'd escaped, we would've had a hard time stopping him," Uchiha Jin said.

Uchiha Jin didn't ask about the Black Light Barrier that had flashed briefly around Fugaku. Everyone had their own secrets,

especially when it came to shinobi. Every Ninjutsu was highly classified, and people rarely shared them with outsiders.

"Clean up the battlefield," Fugaku said. "Gather the bodies and stick Explosive Tags on them."

"Yes."

They moved quickly. Within twenty minutes, no trace of blood from the battle remained. Only the trees and ground, scorched dark by Fire Release, showed signs of the fight.

They gathered all five bodies in one place. Fugaku formed hand seals.

"Earth Release: Earth Moving Core."

The ground beneath the bodies immediately sank. Several Kunai bearing Explosive Tags flew out in succession and struck the tags attached to the bodies.

Underground, a series of muffled explosions rang out. Large chunks of soil fell into the deep pit created by Earth Moving Core, burying the bodies, now blasted beyond recognition.

The sun in the sky had turned dark red. The group hurried toward Konoha.

"Now that we've killed Yūhi Eikō, the Uchiha have one less formidable opponent at the Konoha Assembly. That takes some pressure off us," Uchiha Fujimoto said.

"As we continue to act, the pressure on our clan will gradually lessen, until we've fully recovered our former glory—and even surpassed it.

"In the future, when people think of Konoha, the Uchiha will be the first thing that comes to mind. I don't think that day is far off.
