The two moved slowly with the crowd. By the time they left Commercial Street, Itachi had eaten his fill.
They had entered the part of the district where the Uchiha clan lived. Members greeted them respectfully as Clan Head and Young Clan Head.
They entered a great hall that had been left in its natural state.
Rocks and weeds lay scattered everywhere, with a cave in the middle of the rubble.
"Father, why is there a cave here?"
"Come on. You'll see once we go inside."
Half an hour later, they emerged from the cave into a place utterly unlike the Shinobi World.
The sky was dim, stars dotted the distance, and Earth hung so close it seemed within reach. Everything told Itachi that he was on the moon.
Itachi looked around nervously, still struggling to believe it.
"Father, we're on the moon."
Fugaku smiled. "That's right. This is the moon. Hard to believe, isn't it? When I first came here, I found it even harder to believe than you do.
"A group of arrogant people once lived here. They were always plotting to destroy the Shinobi World and reshape Earth.
"I wiped them out. Now the moon is Uchiha territory."
Itachi was speechless. No matter how high he had raised his estimate of his father's strength, he had never imagined the clan had established territory beyond the planet.
Fugaku made it sound easy, but Itachi doubted it had been. A clan capable of living on the moon could hardly be ordinary, especially one that had planned to destroy the Shinobi World.
