Heracles instinctively stepped forward to shield Su Ning, but she waved him off.

Mordred gritted her teeth but finally lowered her fist.

Su Ning smiled faintly, unbothered by the threat, and strolled over to Artoria and Shirou Emiya.

Artoria thanked Su Ning with grace, not letting the fact that she was an 'enemy' sour her words.

"See that?" Su Ning shot a glance back at Mordred, who turned away in a blaze of fury.

"Hello, Sister Artoria. I'm Illyasviel von Einzbern. You still remember me, right?"

Artoria paused, looking Su Ning up and down, then a look of recognition dawned on her face.

"So it's you. No wonder you seemed so familiar... I never thought... you've grown so big..."

A tender warmth crept into Artoria's blue eyes.

In the last Holy Grail War, she had been summoned early and spent a long time at the Winter Castle. Though she was full of resentment toward Kiritsugu Emiya and clashed with him constantly, her bond with Irisviel was deep—Irisviel was the closest female friend she'd had in this life or the last.
