"Despicable wretch! No martial honor at all!"
Left with no choice, Chloe had to use a Command Spell to amplify Mordred's Noble Phantasm's power, finally forcing Medusa back.
Then, a furious Mordred and Medusa clashed together once more.
"Not looking good..."
Illya couldn't help but frown.
Because the Black Shadow's suppression of Servants was so severe, Heracles and Artoria could only dodge endlessly under its assault. She had no good solution for the moment.
The situation fell into a stalemate.
"Artoria's Excalibur should be able to blast through the Black Shadow's defenses, but that old worm Zouken Matou won't give her time to activate her Noble Phantasm..."
Illya glanced at Red A.
Red A was clearly still holding back. She hadn't minded this before, since his greatest role was to deal with the Golden Flash. Holding back now to avoid exposing Unlimited Blade Works and alerting him was actually the right call.
But in this situation, it seemed only Red A going all out could turn the tide.
"No! I can break the deadlock myself—"
A flash of inspiration struck Illya. She braced her hands and shot to her feet, then... a violent airflow nearly blew her away. Luckily, she grabbed onto Heracles' flowing hair in time.
Heracles: ???
"Ahem... Berserker... steady yourself a bit..."
Heracles took several seconds to process her meaning, then quickly reduced his range of motion.
Illya carefully stood up, and then... a red spear appeared in her hand—Cú Chulainn's Noble Phantasm, Gáe Bulg.
"Piercing—Death Thorn Spear!"
A red light flared on Gáe Bulg, and the next moment, it shot from Illya's hand like a lightning bolt, streaking toward Medusa.
"Is that... a Noble Phantasm?!"
"It's Lancer's Piercing Death Thorn Spear!"
"Interesting!"
Zouken Matou, as well as Kirei Kotomine and the Golden Flash watching from the shadows, were all stunned by Illya's sudden move. A mere magus, a Master, yet she could unleash a Servant's exclusive Noble Phantasm—this was far beyond their expectations.
"She can project Noble Phantasms too?" Red A was startled as well, even letting a flaw slip into his movements, nearly getting hit by Medea's magic cannon.
On the other side, Medusa sensed the danger immediately and tried to dodge, but it was too late.
She wasn't Artoria. She had no high-level skills like Mind's Eye or Instinct, and her Luck stat was pitifully low—on par with Cú Chulainn's. On top of that, she lacked a defensive Noble Phantasm like Seven Rings of the Heavenly Emperor to counter projectiles. So only one outcome awaited her.
Medusa dodged to the side as fast as she could, but it was useless. The moment the thought crossed her mind, her heart was already pierced by Gáe Bulg's Causality Reversal.
"Die!"
Mordred didn't let such a golden opportunity slip. She delivered the killing blow, severing Medusa's head.
After all, Medusa was the one who started it without martial honor.
