Background and History

Shen Anya grew up as the cherished daughter of Shen Ting’an and Zhao Huizhen. Before Shen Luoluo returned, Anya occupied a lavish princess-themed bedroom and was accustomed to the family’s attention. She had also been having a recurring dream in which she learned she was not their biological daughter but remained loved after the truth came out 4.

Luoluo’s return unsettled that expectation. The Shens gave Luoluo Anya’s room, while Anya remained in a small guest room despite another room being prepared for her. At school, Anya described Luoluo as academically weak and admitted through connections; Luoluo’s placement in Rocket Class and strong exam results contradicted those claims 4 7 56 58.

The family called off Anya’s engagement to Sheng Mingzhou after his hostility toward Luoluo. Anya subsequently became involved with Lu Yanshi, who was engaged to her close friend Xiang Lu. Once Xiang discovered their relationship, Anya faced condemnation at school. The Shens also announced plans to make public that Luoluo was their biological daughter and Anya had been raised in her place 21 61 62 63.

Fearing she would be sent away, Anya secretly traveled to Y City ahead of Shen Jingyao’s investigation. There, her presumed birth mother told her that she and Anya’s father had deliberately switched the babies. Anya offered the family money to leave and keep quiet, but her biological brother Qian Yong demanded more. Jingyao later presented travel records, bank-card evidence, birth records, and a paternity test to the Shens. Anya continued seeing Yanshi, while Qian Yong repeatedly sought money from her. Later, she damaged instruments intended for a school performance. Police traced her through a fingerprint; she paid for the damage, received a warning, and wrote a self-criticism. The incident also caused her first serious dispute with Yanshi 120 201.
