Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Limit Douluo 44 Retrospectively revealed to have reached this realm in earlier years. She traveled across Douluo Continent, learned of Sea God Island’s inheritance, and found the Rakshasa God inheritance.
Level 98 Super Douluo / Rakshasa God inheritor 44 45 Her divine trials prevent her from maintaining level 99. This is her documented condition during the confrontation with the Sun Moon Sect, rather than a new advancement.

Background / History

Spirit Hall raised Bibi Dong as its Holy Maiden and invested substantial resources in her training. She became romantically involved with Yu Xiaogang and intended to leave with him. Li Chen’s account also states that Qian Xunji confined and sexually assaulted her in a secret chamber during her youth 2.

Bibi Dong later became Pope and obtained the Rakshasa God inheritance. She keeps the inheritance secret, treating it as an even more important hidden advantage than her twin martial souls. During her confrontation with Ye Yulin, she claims to have held the papacy for more than thirty years 44 46.

In the future history studied by Ju Zi, Bibi Dong is remembered as the Rakshasa God who wanted to destroy the continent. Li Chen distinguishes Spirit Hall’s public services from Bibi Dong’s personal conduct, rejecting Ju Zi’s suggestion that defeat alone explains her reputation 2.

Appearance

  • Everyday clothing: Appears in casual clothes while overlooking Spirit City from Pope Palace 18.
  • Staff or scepter: Frequently leans on it or taps it against the floor while thinking, issuing orders, or expressing anger 5 25 43.
  • Soul-Devouring Avatar: Retains a woman’s head above a swollen spider body with six legs. Purple-black markings cover her face, and her eyes become crimson 45.
  • Undying Body: Dissolves her physical body into purple mist 45.

Personality

Bibi Dong is suspicious, domineering, and determined to control sources of power. She initially accepts cooperation with the Sun Moon Sect while ordering surveillance and reverse engineering. When the sect supplies Spirit Hall’s rivals, she treats its independence as unacceptable and decides that a tool-making organization unwilling to serve her exclusively should not exist 5 18 43.

Her feelings for Yu Xiaogang sharply affect her judgment. She personally frees him and punishes Yue Guan for arresting him, but turns hostile when Yu challenges her treatment of Tang Hao and Tang San. The narration explicitly connects her rapid swings between affection and hatred to the Rakshasa God’s influence 25.

Despite her aggressive demands, she retains some political caution: approaching Heaven Dou City, she disguises herself, stops flying, and skirts the capital rather than openly provoking the empire. In combat, however, Kong Deming’s references to her past and Yu Xiaogang successfully drive her into an enraged attack 45.

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Bibi Dong possesses the Death Spider Emperor and Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor, switching between them during combat 45.

  • Her second martial soul is a closely guarded secret; the passage identifies Qian Daoliu and his son as the only people previously aware of it 45.
  • Her Death Spider Emperor’s displayed soul rings are yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, red 45.
  • Revealing the Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor signals her intention to kill Kong Deming 45.

Death Spider Emperor Skills

Skill Function Demonstrated limit
Death Scythe — First Soul Skill Produces a cutting attack through the phantom of a sharp spider leg 45. Kong Deming neutralizes the strike with spatial defenses 45.
Death Domain Releases poisonous black mist that suppresses and corrodes an opponent’s soul power 45. The Silver Moon Divine Light Shield isolates Kong Deming in separate space, preventing the domain from reaching him 45.
Undying Body — Ninth Soul Skill Regenerates severed limbs and converts her body into energy to evade physical attacks 45. Concentrated energy carrying Eternal Wound’s corrosive power damages her mist form. That form also moves slowly, forcing her to rematerialize to attempt escape 45.

Soul-Devouring Spider Emperor Skills

  • Soul-Devouring Avatar: Transforms her into a large spider avatar with a woman’s head 45.
  • Eternal Wound — Sixth Soul Skill: Turns her forelegs jade-green and releases a cross-shaped blade carrying death, decay, and corrosive poison. Wounds inflicted by it cannot heal and continue worsening 45.
  • Past feat: Eternal Wound previously overcame a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit’s Invincible Golden Body 45.
  • Countermeasure: Kong Deming absorbs the attack through the Silver Moon Divine Light Shield and returns its power as part of an amplified counterattack 45.

Rakshasa Inheritance and Vitality

Her secret Divine Examination provides a hidden source of power and is associated with her unstable emotional state 25 44.

  • Kong Deming suspects a divine inheritance because her vitality exceeds that of an ordinary Peak Douluo 46.
  • After the orbital strike, she revives with soul power supplied through numerous Class 7 Soul Guidance Milk Bottles, despite catastrophic damage to her chest and lungs 46.
  • Her survival is not a complete recovery: the attack damages her foundation, and she believes another comparable strike would kill her 46.

Flight and Escape

  • Travels by flight when leaving Spirit City to confront the Sun Moon Sect 43 44.
  • Uses an unnamed secret art to increase her speed and break out of the Silver Moon Divine Light Shield while severely injured 46.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Staff / scepter — Carried in Pope Palace and used while directing subordinates 5 25 43.
  • Sixty-thousand-year Spirit Wisdom Skull Soul Bone — Held for use as a championship prize at the Continental Soul Master Tournament; it is not stated to be absorbed by her 8.
  • Papal Decree entrusted to Yu Xiaogang — A token intended to represent the Pope’s authority. Its age causes Yue Guan to question its authenticity 20 25.

Relationships

  • Yu Xiaogang — Former lover whose safety remains deeply important to her. She protects him at Pope Palace, and Kong Deming exploits that attachment to provoke her in battle 2 25 45.
  • Qian Xunji — Previous Pope who sexually assaulted her in her youth; Yue Guan and Gui Mei formerly served him 2 6.
  • Qian Renxue — Daughter. Bibi Dong recognizes that the Sun Moon Sect’s military strength, rather than Qian Renxue’s scheming alone, enabled the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s destruction 23 43.
  • Qian Daoliu — Senior Spirit Hall authority capable of overruling her. After he releases Tang Hao and Tang San, she plans to use Sun Moon Sect weapons to help complete her trials and kill him. Nevertheless, he orders urgent treatment when she returns near death 25 26 49.
  • Hu Liena — Student entrusted with placing Spirit Hall agents in the Sun Moon Sect’s businesses to acquire its technology 18.
  • Yue Guan and Gui Mei — Subordinates she assigns difficult work without rewarding them with Soul Bones. They save her and cover her escape, but subsequently accept recruitment by Li Chen after concluding that they owe her nothing further 6 46 47.
  • Tang Hao and Tang San — Enemies she refuses to release at Yu Xiaogang’s request. She holds Tang Hao responsible for Qian Xunji’s death and regards Tang San as a potential future avenger 25.
  • Sun Moon Sect — Initially a trading partner, later a rival she attempts to control. Its defenders defeat her through coordinated spatial defenses, energy support, and orbital weaponry 5 44 45 46.

Story Role / Major Arcs

Soul Tool Partnership and Espionage

  • Watches Ye Yulin and Zheng Zhan’s demonstration from a hidden chamber. The Soul Guidance Milk Bottle attracts her attention chiefly for its military value 5.
  • Authorizes cooperation while the sect’s claimed Peerless Douluo remains unverified. She orders lamps and water heaters introduced under Spirit Hall’s name, keeps Qian Daoliu uninformed, and seeks information about weapons of mass destruction 5.
  • Orders searches after Gui Mei fails to follow the visiting elders 6.
  • Becomes alarmed when Sun Moon Sect shops reveal the technology’s actual source. She directs Hu Liena to infiltrate its shops and factories 18.

Shrek Prisoners and the Papal Decree

  • Allows the other Shrek prisoners to leave but retains Tang Hao and Tang San. She offers to release Tang San only after crippling his soul power and martial souls 25.
  • Reluctantly complies when Qian Daoliu orders their release, deepening her resentment toward him 25 26.

Confrontation with the Sun Moon Sect

  • Learns that Spirit Hall cannot reproduce the sect’s Core Magic Arrays because production occurs elsewhere and the tools have anti-disassembly mechanisms 43.
  • Demands that Ye Yulin end cooperation with both empires. He rejects her authority and claims the sect rules the Sun Moon Continent, prompting her to investigate its supposed master and possible divine inheritance 44.
  • Challenges Kong Deming outside the former Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Castle. He traps her, neutralizes her domain, and turns Eternal Wound against her using energy supplied by the Imperial Soul Engineer Corps 45.
  • Is struck by Li Chen’s explosive titanium–tungsten orbital projectile at the instant she regains physical form 45 46.

Retreat and Spirit Hall’s Response

  • Revives through Yue Guan and Gui Mei’s intervention, then orders them to cover her retreat. Their fusion skill delays pursuit for twenty seconds and leaves them captive 46.
  • Doubles back into Heaven Dou City and disappears among its crowds before returning to Spirit City 47 49.
  • Is found unconscious at the mountain’s foot. Qian Daoliu orders her placed in the Medicine Pool and sends for Ye Yunyan, a Nine Heart Begonia healer 49.
  • Her defeat prompts Spirit Hall’s threatened retaliation. The Sun Moon Sect’s projected spokesman publicly frames the battle as self-defense, and Qian Daoliu ultimately agrees to end the incident 49 50.
