The hill was large but not tall, its highest point only a little over twenty meters. It looked like a gigantic black tart flipped upside down on the ground.
The air was thick with the pungent smell of sulfur, and black stones covered the ground beneath their feet.
Cow Knife occasionally snorted heavily through his nose, expressing his dissatisfaction with the surroundings.
Ye Zheng picked up a stone, squeezed it, and said, "It feels a little like cooled and solidified lava. The smell is harsh. Ordinary animals probably wouldn't want to come near."
"So that's why it's a Safe House. Maybe it even spews lava at regular intervals~" Feng Ling casually joked.
At the top of the slope stood several stone pillars, tilted and arranged in a ring around the summit. A Labyrinth Divine Statue stood in the center.
Perhaps to match the setting, the statue's tabletop was made from the same stone, and even its smiley face was dark black.
Feng Ling walked over, sat down, and drew a Card.
The last Centipede Card in her body was drawn away, and her Corruption Value dropped to 22%. She let out a soft breath, feeling much more comfortable.
Her current Corruption Value should be low enough for her to safely digest an Abyss Card.
She looked at the Card Deck displayed on the table and carefully calculated. "Bat, Queen Mother of the West, South Sea Flood Dragon, Eye of Horus, Lord of the Abyss River, Squirrel... The Card with the highest Corruption Value in the deck is Naga, Lord of the Abyss River, at 8%. The Spring Goddess is obviously more suitable for me than Naga, so her Corruption Value must be below 8%. Adding that to my original 22%, my final Corruption Value should stay within 29%."
