Background
Feng Ling grew up at the Big Wheel Children’s Welfare Institute, where the orphans all bore the surname Feng. She was briefly adopted for a little over three months, during which her foster mother alternated between affection and violent outbursts over minor mistakes; Feng Ling was eventually returned to the orphanage. 74 84
At the orphanage, Mother Feng’s strict rule—that every action needed a reason and that one must not harm those who had done no wrong—became Feng Ling’s earliest moral framework. Feng Ling later recognized that Mother Feng had been trying to keep the children from repeating the crimes associated with their families. 254 255
She obtained the Hive by touching a blood-red Card that emerged from a pool of flesh. The Card dissolved into her body and granted her abnormal resilience, recovery, and an immense appetite. 1 2 After digesting the Killer Bee and Mantis Cards, she developed her first named abilities: Mother’s Longing and Mother’s Scourge. 3
Appearance
In her usual human form, Feng Ling has refined features, bright black eyes, long hair, and an athletic presence that others find striking rather than conventionally delicate. 14 219
- Her eyes can carry an unsettling intensity when she is excited or fighting. 219
- Her Second Form is a massive Flood Dragon Serpent with silver-white scales that fade into black around the edges. 334 339
- Her transformed body can manifest bone blades, fangs, claws, spikes, and tentacles. 128 337
- After emerging from the Nest Body, she appears slightly taller, with a changed hairstyle and black pupils flecked with golden crystalline light. 741
Personality
Feng Ling is fearless, direct, and driven by the thrill of fighting Xenomorphs rather than fame or contribution rewards. Her combat awareness is considered unusually sharp; she reacts quickly to danger and learns rapidly through direct experience. 65 179
She is also curious and highly independent. She investigates threats others would avoid, collects unusual Cards, and is fascinated by grotesque or unconventional forms of beauty, such as an implanted eye taken from a Xenomorph. 146 149
Ye Zheng characterizes Feng Ling as an “indulgent type”: someone who follows her immediate emotions and desires completely, capable of becoming either an exceptionally fearless powerhouse or dangerously unconstrained. 251 Feng Ling herself later reflects that power has made her more patient and gentle, while her experiences with the Hive have made her increasingly protective of vulnerable lives. 482 566
Abilities & Skills
Hive
The Hive is Feng Ling’s main Card and the source of her extraordinary vitality.
- Grants enhanced physique, powerful recovery, and immunity to viruses. 1 4
- Makes her extremely difficult to kill so long as a trace of life remains. 1
- Causes severe energy requirements, originally expressed through an enormous appetite. 2 46
- Its suggested evolutionary path could make her a threat to humanity; Feng Ling consciously chooses to develop around its weaknesses rather than follow that path blindly. 160
Nest Building and Nest Body
Nest Building converts flesh and blood into new life. The lifeform’s strength depends on the energy invested in its creation. 47
- Feng Ling can incubate and command Mother Nest creations. 47
- Her creations inherit one ability from her deck. 337
- Her Nest Body allows regeneration after catastrophic injury, but insufficient energy can cause her to emerge prematurely in a childlike state. 346
- The Nest Body produces a calming effect on nearby beings and can respond to Feng Ling’s intent even when she is elsewhere. 346 350
Second Form: Flood Dragon Serpent
Feng Ling’s Second Form is a giant Flood Dragon Serpent that greatly enhances her physical and mental abilities. 128 339
- The transformation substantially increases her size, strength, and Mental Pressure. 214 339
- It consumes large amounts of energy and can affect her emotional stability when she is injured or overstimulated. 339 340

- Tracking becomes faster as she closes the distance to the target. 3
- The Cat Spider inherited this tracking ability. 337
Mental Power
Feng Ling’s Mental Power can intimidate enemies or influence nearby lifeforms.
- Mother’s Majesty releases a threatening aura that intimidates nearby beings without directly consuming energy. Its effectiveness depends on Feng Ling’s physical condition. 128
- Mental Pressure is less effective against targets much larger than Feng Ling unless she uses her Second Form. 214
- Mother’s Longing 2.0 causes affected beings to feel close to her, admire her, trust her, and regard her as an intimate, revered figure. 264
Mother’s Appetite
Mother’s Appetite allows Feng Ling to absorb energy from fresh flesh and blood.
- Replenishes her energy without requiring conventional food. 264 276
- Can be used directly against living enemies, rapidly draining their energy. 372
- Little Third Child inherited this ability. 337
Eye of Horus
After absorbing the Eye of Horus, Feng Ling gained perception-based abilities. 337
- Third Perspective gives her an elevated, map-like view of her surroundings. 337
- She can distinguish humans, Xenomorphs, allies, and threats by the colored indicators she perceives. 337
- Its range can extend for several kilometers, though certain environments such as sandstorms can interfere with it. 337 562
- Mother’s Gaze lets her share the vision of a lifeform she has hatched while temporarily enhancing that creature’s capabilities. 337
Mom’s Killing Intent
After digesting the Lord of the Abyss River, Feng Ling gained a water-based Second Form skill which she named Mom’s Killing Intent. 519
- Creates large-scale mist in water-rich environments. 519
- Combines with her enhanced aquatic healing and reduced Second Form energy consumption. 519
- A later variation can restore allies’ stamina and relieve fatigue. 737
