Feng Ling had developed inside the Nest Body for a full nine days, and at last, she was ready to come out.

During those nine days, Contaminants appeared one after another. There weren't many of them, but one would often dart out in the east, then another would pop up in the west, sending several teams running all over the place.

After receiving word that Feng Ling was about to emerge, everyone put down the work at hand and gathered outside the Eco-Park's main building.

Tonight was the night of the full moon. Dark clouds spread across the sky, and the round moon flickered in and out between the clouds, like an eye peering down at the earth.

As time passed bit by bit, the atmosphere gradually turned cold, solemn, and heavy.

What would the Abyss Mother Nest look like?

Would she look human? Like a dragon? Or half-human, half-dragon?

Everyone silently guessed in their hearts.

Whenever Zhou Diao got nervous, he tended to talk too much. He leaned over to Lin Pengpeng and said quietly, "Don't you think we kind of look like family members waiting for news outside a delivery room?"

The comparison sounded a little strange, but she couldn't quite say what was wrong with it. Lin Pengpeng hesitated, then nodded. "Mm... a little..."

Zhou Diao went on, "Once Feng Ling gets born out of the Nest Body, I wonder if her size will change. Do you think she'll be able to wear the clothes they prepared? Could it end up being pointless?"

Lin Pengpeng didn't want to discuss this, so she perfunctorily made a couple of agreeing noises.

The humidity in the air rose, and mist began to spread.

It wasn't ordinary mist. It went from faint to dense, gradually turning blood-red.

Alarm bells blared in
