Chu Xiu chose Xiao Wu, Snow Woman, and Zi JI as his survival companions, hoping to use Xiao Wu to test his suspicions about Tang San. The three women arrived on the Deserted Island and discovered their powers had been suppressed, leaving them uncertain who had brought them there.

• Chu Xiu reflected on his hatred of Tang San and planned to reveal Xiao Wu and Ah Yin at their five-year rendezvous.
• Chu Xiu ruled out several candidates, failed to select Gu Yuena and Wang Qiu'er, and chose Snow Woman and Zi JI alongside Xiao Wu.
