Di Tian gave a slight nod and spoke first:
"Human, it seems Bi Ji was right. You really do carry the aura of a divine beast."
"What? Di Tian, are you joking? A human this weak gained the recognition of a divine beast?"
Xiong Jun glared at Chi Hong in disbelief. Drool dripped from his sharp teeth, as though he might lunge forward and tear Chi Hong apart at any moment.
The look drew the Ice Empress's ire. She stepped in front of Chi Hong and scoffed:
"Hmph. After all these years, you're still the stupidest of the Ten Great Fiends. I don't know why Di Tian keeps you around."
Xiong Jun burst into a booming laugh.
"Who's stupid here? At least I'd never become a human's pet like you, Ice Empress. The Far North has disgraced us Soul Beasts. You submit to a human and still call yourselves lords of the Far North?"
The Snow Empress frowned.
"Dad, can I beat up this stupid bear? He's asking for it."
Ultimate Ice gathered around the Ice Empress's hands. She was ready to fight.
Chi Hong gripped Kyogre's Poké Ball. Rather than look at Xiong Jun, he fixed his gaze on Di Tian.
"Di Tian, if you can't teach your subordinate how to speak, I don't mind doing it for you."
Xiong Jun bristled and started to snap, "Human, you—"
Di Tian turned his gaze on him. The full weight of his Dragon Might bore down on Xiong Jun as he said in a low voice, "Watch your mouth, or I'll kill you right now."
Feeling Di Tian's unmistakable killing intent, Xiong Jun knew he meant it. Cold sweat broke out across his body, and he lowered his head, not daring to act up again.
But resentment still burned inside him.
