The mission sent them to Sea God Village, where Tang Wutong was eager to go and Gu Yuena grew more suspicious of her interest in the Sea God.

• Han Ruoruo brought Xiang Jun, Tang Wutong, and Gu Yuena to the Sea God Pavilion to meet Mu En.

Before doing so, they visited a theater, where a performance of the Shrek Seven Devils ended with a dramatic line that left Gu Yuena shaken.

• Nuolin told Xiang Jun, Tang Wutong, and Gu Yuena that multiple Soul Master squads, including one led by a Soul Emperor, had vanished while investigating the forest killings.
• Xiang Jun decided they would investigate the forest that night, while Gu Yuena silently resolved to punish whoever had harmed her subjects.

• Xiao Hongchen woke from his nightmare shouting for the mysterious man to release Meng Hongchen, then reassured her that he would protect her.
• Xiao Hongchen returned to his room after the academy meeting and convinced himself his dream was nothing to worry about.
• Tang Wutong cried over the story of Lord Sea God's past love and asked Xiang Jun whether he would save her; Gu Yuena said he would not, and the women argued.
